New Music: Finally Boys

This has to be band of the week. My heart pumped fast within the first minute of opening track, Lunar Lovers. Brilliantly uplifting electronic music at it’s finest. Check out here.

New Music: Unicorn Kid

Friday morning means one thing- party time! I think it might be impossible to not want to shake a bit to this Unicorn Kid track. Check out here.

New Music: Smash Into Pieces

This is starting to be a very rock-heavy week on Alfitude, I’ve come to realise. Anyway, these Swedish rockers have signed a deal with Sony, so worldwide fame may be due shortly. Check out here.

New Music: Jess Bell

Part of what seems to be an emerging trend of cute, pitch perfect indie-pop with some serious Scandinavian influence. Check out here.

New Music: Mighty Quinn

Im not sure how long this chap and his producer, Brian Lee, have been around but this is a really sexy, funky sound which I just have to share. Check out here.

New Music: Belmont Lights

This is a great song to finish off this patchy Wednesday. Pop/ rock from San Diego with a very radio-friendly sound that’s promising to the ears! Check out here.

New Music: Venice

This indie/pop sound feels really fresh and fun, and I’m looking forward to hearing more from this Buckinghamshire band. Check out here.

New Music: Glass Theory

Electropop from LA. And it’s free to download if you like it! Check out here.

New Music: The Lumineers

I am tempted to call this camp folk, just because it’s so playful and easy to enjoy. Check out here.

New Music: Naughty Boy

Do you recognise who’s singing this? It’s Emeli Sande, which is pretty cool. The track itself is by super producer Naughty Boy, who’s venturing out with a solo record coming out next year. This is out next month though. Check out here.

New Music: Sophie Delila

This is one of my favourite picks for the week. It’s intricate and so simple at the same time, it’s pop but with a lot of emotion which is rare. Check out here.

New Music: Phebe Starr

I am absolutely in love with this Australian pop starlet. If I could just feature this for the whole week I would. Check out here.

New Music: Wet Nuns

Gritty, raw sounding rock that gets you hooked after a couple of minutes of listening. Single’s released on September 10thon limited edition 7” vinyl and as a digital download. Check out here.

New Music: Julien-K

I can’t really describe this- it’s pop, dance, indie, rock… Seems to touch on everything. Which is good. Check out here.

New Music: The Ukuleles

The name of this band gives it away really. They do some fun tracks/ covers with ukeleles. I tried to learn to play one of those once. Deceptively harder to master than you would think. Album’s out September 3rd. Check out here.

New Music: I Am Giant

It’s been a while since I’ve heard rock as good as this. They’ve already got love over in New Zealand and BBC’s Zane Lowe is a fan… Check out here.
