Hur kan jag sakna nåt jag aldrig haft

It’s Swedish. And to be honest, I’ve been learning the language for almost two years but I don’t really understand what this song by Linda Sundblad is all about but it’s just too good not to listen to!

Free Download: Thomas Azier ‘Red Eyes’

Previously featured on here a few weeks ago, this is a free download of some epic proportions. Enjoy!

First Listen: Man Like Me ‘Squeeze’

One of my favourite new tracks from this month (and trust me, I hear a LOT of stuff every week…) this is the new Man Like Me single, produced by ex-The Streets‘ Mike Skinner. Single’s out May 28th. The band will play a special one-off launch show at London’s Dingwalls on May 24!

New Music: The Majority Says

Adorable Swedish indie pop that’s just impossible not to love. Check out here.

New Music: Miles Kane

This is a big British indie sound from the man linked with The Rascals and The Last Shadow Puppets, and is gloriously uplifting! Check out here.

This made me get up off my chair and dance

And that’s no mean feat! Such a huge fan of these guys and this track is so insanely fresh.

Win tickets to catch Thundercat/ Floating Points/ Slugabed!

In association with Black Atlantic, Tiger has created ’Hidden Depths’ – a series of club and live events that explore a different side of some of the UK’s most innovative record labels. The series of shows will blend live and club performances as each label curates a night to explore the influences that informed their conception, present their current leading lights and offer a glimpse into their future musical movements.

The series will launch at fabric on Wednesday 16th May with a takeover of Room 1 by the seminal label Ninja Tune, with a showcase of burgeoning new talent. The spectrum of imprints and artists they are involved with will be showcased, with the Ninja label itself taking centre stage. Sister labels Big Dada Records and Brainfeeder will also be represented to provide the audience with a night that delves into the depths of the Ninja Tune label.

The show includes a rare performance from Brainfeeder’s Thundercat, in what will be only be the second time he has played in the UK and his first headline show on these shores. Thundercat will be backed by the astonishing talents of Ninja affiliated artist Floating Points and new signing Slugabed, with Offshore representing Big Dada. This event is strictly for over-18s. Tiger Beer supports responsible drinking – find out more at

We have a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky reader- just email with NINJA on the subject bar and you’ll be entered into the draw. Deadline is 12:00 Friday 18th May. Good luck!

New Music: Zhala

With Stockholm as the physical base, but with the mindset of a modern day Transnational, Zhala’s music is futuristic, Cosmic Pop mixed up with Witchcraft Indie – for the ones who grew up with a little bit of everything, whether it was Rave, Bollywood or RnB.  Check out here.

Another week, another Lana Del Rey remix…

This time it’s a smooth reworking of Blue Jeans by Odd Future’s The Internet.

New Music: Etta Bond

This is a massive sound and a very big talent to watch out for. Signed to Labrinth’s own label, expect to hear more from Etta Bond across the year. This track is only in demo stage and it’s huge! Check out here.

New Music: Mikill Pane

I don’t know how to describe this but it’s catchy as hell and so, so happy. Check out here.

Calling all retro Swedish music fans…

ABBA‘s ‘The Visitors’ Deluxe Edition album is out today with a DVD of archive material along with CD bonus tracks– including the demo medley From A Twinkling Star To A Passing Angel, the first previously unreleased ABBA recordings since 1994!

New Music: Rosemary

I wanted to cry when I watched this video because it is terrifying and just plain weird. But I can’t deny the beats are immense. Check out here.

First Watch: A*M*E ‘Ride Or Die’

I’m really loving this! Such good pop! A*M*E is now signed to Gary Barlow’s record label so keep a look out for more soon!

New Music: Actually

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the newest musical genre to hit mainstream: porn pop. Yep. I know this blog is read by a ton of people so I won’t elaborate any more, you’ll have to just use your imagination. Or do some more research. But this track has satisfied me in a soul destroying way, just as any good porn should. Check out here.

New Music: Alizzz

‘Neon Lights’ is the debut MofoHifi single-track release for emerging Spanish producer, Alizzz. Tough analogy glitch-beats, fuzz bass and glossy synth-bathed rhythms are steeped in the rich sonic textures of Alizzz’s warm melodies.

Influenced by indie, soul, funk, maximalism, dubstep and RnB but with no firm allegiance to one-specific genre, Alizzz is a welcome addition to the growing roster of a label the likes of Phonat and Bobby Tank call home. Check out here.

New Music: Josefina Sanner

New Swedish indie pop produced by Andreas Dahlbäck (who’s done stuff for Anna Ternheim). Check out here.
