New Music: Dorio

If you happen to be looking for some retro-futurist indie-pop then today’s your lucky day.

Austin-based musical project Dorio create songs that are inspired, in part, by the Japanese Shibuya-Kei pop movement that was prominent in the 90s.

This style of sound fuses orchestral pop with other genres like lounge, house and funk, to create pieces of music that are both current and nostalgic in equal measures.

New single ‘Lost These Days’ features vocals from Rachel Rascoe, and treats listeners to a charming sound that is almost impossible not to fall in love with.

“It’s a song about finding your way outside your living room stage.” – Dorio

The song is taken from the Dorio’s forthcoming ‘Strawberry Dream’ album, which is out later this month.
