New Music: FELIX

British artist FELIX is one of the most exciting discoveries of the week. As a talent on the rise, this singer-songwriter has already picked up praise from heavyweight tastemakers like Radio 1 and BBC Introducing.

‘Hallelujah’ is lifted from FELIX’s upcoming debut EP, and showcases a style of sound that effortlessly fuses indie-rock with pop. The song feels passionate and arresting, while still maintaining a sense of universal relatability.

“‘Hallelujah’ is an empowering anthem I wrote about breaking free and finally realising your worth. I wrote it during lockdown where isolation had given me the time to really reflect and sit down with my feelings and just let everything flood out.”

FELIX will perform at his EP launch on the 23rd June at Bristol’s Crofter’s Rights – details can be found here.

New Music: Felix

A British talent based out of Birmingham who has so far garnered almost 30,000 streams from three previous releases and the attention of BBC Introducing.

The sound subtly blends indie with RnB and pop to create something that feels familiar yet refreshing at the same time.

“This song was written after a breakup, focusing on the feeling of being let go before I was ready to let go and then feeling almost betrayed that this decision was made and not wanting to admit that I saw it coming all along.”
