Rising UK artist Iris King is back today with yet another impressive release, called ‘I Did, I Will, I Do’.

Recorded in LA, this Blonder-produced song fuses indie with folk, pop, and a little country, giving the production a textured feel which, despite its minimalism, is packed with emotion.

Lyrically, the song centres around “themes of falling in love and embracing stability and comfort, rather than the volatility of chaotic relationships”.

To date, King has amassed more than half a million career streams, with no signs of momentum slowing down. This is a UK talent to keep on your radar.

Iris King – Somewhere In The Middle

UK artist Iris King might not be a name known to many (yet), but this self-described ‘big time yearner’ is a musician who has already achieved over 440k Spotify streams from the release of a previous song called ‘Veins’.

King looks set to grow her momentum even more with the new single ‘Somewhere In The Middle’. The track showcases a blend of lo-fi indie and alternative pop, resulting in a sound that is raw but also commanding and confident.

“This song is about a push and pull relationship that’s ultimately quite toxic. I feel it’s relatable for a lot of people, and sometimes hard to walk away. It’s the second single from my EP, recorded in LA in 2025 with Blonder (Ryn Weaver/Anna Shoemaker), who also produced it. We recorded the 4 track EP in 4 days, very chaotic but wonderful results.”

King’s music has been picked up by outlets like The Line of Best Fit and Noisey. We’re excited to see how the year shapes up for this very unique musician.
