Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lila Dupont is a promising new indie starlet hailing from New York.
‘Deep End’ is Dupont’s latest release, and is lyrically inspired by the times when we find ourselves slipping into a bad mental state, as well as the feelings of despair that come with it.
“I wrote ‘Deep End’ when I was eighteen following an extremely irregular period in which I was not writing songs. ‘Deep End’ is one of the most emotional songs I have ever written and was surprisingly one of the easiest for me to write as I wasn’t planning out how I wanted the song to sound but simply singing how I was feeling. ‘Deep End’ is a song about recognising that you are falling into a bad place mentally but not knowing how to pull yourself out of it.”
Impressively, Dupont’s music has already amassed more than 1.5 million cumulative streams on Spotify alone.
