A refreshingly original approach to alternative pop from American outift Lord Baltimore. With lyricism reminding us that life is short, ‘Gulf Of Mexico’ is a song that feels emotive, dreamy and almost ethereal in it’s tone.
“The song is about the fact that I won’t live forever, and I’ll be young for even less time. There will come a day where my eyes won’t be able to see the highway. Where my legs won’t be strong enough to wade into the warm waters of the Gulf. Where my stomach won’t be robust enough to handle a case of white claws at one o’clock in the morning.”
