Lucy Frost – Lines

Rising American starlet Lucy Frost is back with a powerful new single today, called ‘Lines’.

The production showcases a style of indie pop that we rarely come across – one that is bravely distinctive, and puts emotion at the centre.

The track instantly hits you with a sense of frantic urgency. It’s intense and chaotic and takes listeners to a situation that we all dread… that of seeing an ex with someone new. Speaking on the song, Lucy says:

“‘Lines’ sonically captures the chaotic spiral of someone who just witnessed their ex with someone new for the first time. That gnawing need to tell the next person about them, the intrusive thoughts that control us in the moment, the impulsive actions we take that we immediately regret the next day. It’s paranoia while also being neurotic, until we’re forced to face the question: who have I become?”

The song was created alongside Charlotte Reed, Mosaic (Dean Maola), and Graham Maola.

Acclaimed LA-based artist Lucy Frost is back today with a powerful new single that we’re really excited to be sharing with you.

Inspired by the feelings of anxiety that love can sometimes bring, ‘Prescription’ presents listeners with a dark pop production and vulnerable lyrics that remind us of the ebbs and flows of human emotion.

“‘Prescription’ is the sonic form of anxiety and discomfort bubbling up to the surface until it inevitably is released into a freeing flood of emotion. Playing this song live for the first time actually shaped how I wanted this track to feel in the studio; very raw and honest, with the intention that listeners will also experience a means of releasing their own pressures trapped inside.”

Alongside her own solo releases (which have amassed more than 300k streams on Spotify alone), Frost is also a noted songwriter and collaborator who has recently worked with the likes of Ari Abdul and Bluey Thomas.
