Retro Video Club – Faking

Edinburgh-based rockers Retro Video Club are kicking off 2022 in commanding fashion with the release of their new single ‘Faking’.

The track arrives while the band are on a mini tour for Independent Venue Week, and just days before they support The Kooks on two dates of their UK tour,

“‘Faking’ is about being bitter, and trying to leave one last dig at your ex before moving on with your life. It’s the age old tale of a lover scorned, and how in the 21st century, people get their licks in.”

Retro Video Club – Disaster

One of the UK’s most promising indie-rock outfits in recent years, Retro Video Club return today with the hugely anthemic ‘Disaster’. A siren call to everyone that the end is in sight, this is sound that is filled with the energy you need to keep going!

“’Disaster’ is a song about the thrill of the chase, and the chaos that ensues when you reach the finish line.”

Retro Video Club – Checkmate

Scottish rockers Retro Video Club have been winning fans ever since bursting onto the scene back in 2017.

With their trademark blend of indie-rock and pop, this 4-piece outfit create a refreshingly energising style of music; and as is the case with ‘Checkmate’, a sound of pure indie joy.

“’Checkmate’ is a song about reflecting on your high school days & how the passing of time changes everything. It’s facing reality, realising you need to start growing up because life is starting to get serious. It’s ultimately life putting you in Checkmate, but you refusing to accept the game is over.” Liam Allison (Lead Vocal & Rhythm Guitar), Retro Video Club
