New Music: Kaisha

A Brighton-based talent by way of Malaysia, this sound an indulgent piece of mellow and beautifully crafted neo-soul, which is easy on the ears and even easier to fall in love with.

The song itself is all about the internal demons that affect your personal identity as an artist. But that said, I found the lyrics relatable to anyone.

“This track was inspired by a time where I really struggled with my musical identity. I lacked kindness to myself which nearly made me fall out of love with music. I think everyone can relate to the idea of feeling like they’re in a race. In this day and age, it’s impossible to not compare your journey with others. The harsh reality is that there’s always going to be someone better than you, but once you accept that and focus your energy on yourself, the story becomes more about you and less about them.”
