“The song is all about that period in a relationship where you’re doing all these lovely things together (breakfast in bed, buying flowers for one another, lie ins, shower sex) BUT you don’t want to put a label on it… This is what I like to call the ‘honeymoon’ phase. Just like spring, the ‘honeymoon’ phase doesn’t last long but is intensely hopeful, beautiful and a time which people look back on with great nostalgia.”
