Leah Kate – Used To This

“I’ve had my fair share of toxic relationships – haven’t we all? – and when someone is finally good to you, it’s so refreshing and inspires you to be the best version of you too.”

Taken from the EP ‘Used To This’ which is out now.

Leah Kate – F*** Up the Friendship

This is by far the most fabulous disco-pop song I have heard all week. It’s a heady mix of playful bass beats, catchy hooks and punchy lyrics. The song will be on my personal rotation all weekend.

“‘Fuck Up The Friendship’ was inspired by my experience falling for a friend who I never thought I would fall for. I really valued our friendship, but the feelings were just too strong to ignore. At the end of the day, I wanted to bring good, fun vibes to people during this time. Music unites people and I hope someone can get a good dance out of it.”

Leah Kate – Bad Idea

Anyone who is involved will tell you how mad it is on Fridays… Everyone releases their music at the same time and when you run a site like this one, it means getting literally *hundreds* of songs at the same time.

I tell you this because, from all the pop songs I have gone through today, this is the only one to have made me bop my head so hard that I gave myself a mild headache. A true pop banger.

“Sometimes doing something that seems like a bad idea can be exhilarating and fun, and it ultimately helps us to learn about ourselves and grow. I want my listeners to feel a sense of comfort when they may be in a similar situation.”
