Lenn – older sister

Lenn has to be one of the most interesting UK-based pop talents to have emerged in recent years.

The much-hyped artist returns today with a gorgeously emotive new single called ‘older sister’, and we’re totally mesmerised by it.

It’s a thoughtful and introspective track that is not only refreshingly original in lyrical concept but also encourages listeners to think about their own family dynamics.

“The lyric ‘would life be soft in a hand me down?’ poses the core question at the heart of this song and is indicative of a deep-rooted longing for the wisdom and counsel that an older sister can provide when life gets hard, heads get turned, and a clear sense of direction is nothing more than an alien notion.”

Lenn is no stranger to the Alfitude pages. We’ve been in love with this artist for a while now, and we’re pretty confident she’ll hit the mainstream in 2025. One to watch.

Lenn – renegade

Rising British talent Lenn is back with yet another sublime new single, entitled ‘renegade’.

Through its flawlessly constructed mix of dark, sultry pop and alternative R&B, the song addresses the toxic energies that arise from bad friendships.

“‘renegade’ was born out of a free therapy session with my co-writers where I could vent the frustration and helplessness I was feeling around that time. It’s a song about realising someone isn’t who you once thought they were, finally seeing the red flags that in all honesty were there from the beginning and resigning to the fact that you can’t control how someone writes you into their story.”

Impressively, ‘renegade’ is still only Lenn’s third single to date, and offers listeners a further glimpse into the artist’s upcoming debut EP.

While still early in her career, Lenn has already received praise from outlets as notable as BBC Introducing, Kings of A&R and DNĂĽ.

Lenn – dreams are a nightmare

After a busy year recording music and joining acclaimed duo Icarus on their sold-out UK tour, Lenn returns with a sensational new single to remind you of her extraordinary talent.

With its finessed fusion of alternative R&B and ambient pop, ‘dreams are a nightmare’ links the emotions that are triggered from dreams with the introspective thoughts many of us experienced during lockdown.

“I wrote ‘dreams are a nightmare’ about the struggle of chasing after what you truly want. So often in life the things that offer the most joy also leave us at our most vulnerable and expose us to anxiety, heartache and deferred hope.”

Written and recorded by Lenn at her home-studio in Bristol, the song serves as a taster to the artist’s forthcoming debut EP (out later this year).
