LUCA – Wrong

Everything that Harlem-based artist LUCA seems to touch these days is turning to musical gold.

Hazy new single ‘Wrong’ is one of the most sublime tracks we have come across so far this month, and presents listeners with a mesmerising blend of lo-fi pop, soul and R&B.

“The song represents the inevitable feeling of emptiness when a relationship ends and the desperate need to return to the spectre of that lost love, even when you both know that time is past. There is an ever-present hole that is left behind after someone who was an integral piece to your life is no longer a part of it; the space it occupies – mentally, physically, and emotionally. What goes up must come down in a relationship and ‘Wrong’ represents that come down to earth moment – the catharsis of that emotional freefall.”

With only a handful of singles released to date, LUCA has already exceeded over a million streams on Spotify. Fans can look forward to a debut EP, which will be out soon.

LUCA – Altar

Riding high off the enormous acclaim for his debut single ‘Serotonin’ back in November, emerging talent LUCA returns with euphoria-inducing sophomore single ‘Altar’.

“This song is about falling out of love with a person who can’t accept that things need to end. It leaves you resenting the person you once loved the most.”

To date, LUCA has garnered praise from the like of Early Rising, Earmilk, Luna Collective, RnB Radar, and Before The Data amongst many others, as well as holding a spot on the coveted Fresh Finds Playlist for four weeks straight.

New Music: LUCA

Another exciting debut today comes from US talent LUCA with his single ‘Serotonin’. This self-taught artist’s mesmerising style blends elements of R&B and lo-fi pop with other old-school influences to create a sound that feels distinctly unique yet undeniably appealing.

Raised in Harlem and the Heights, LUCA began studying piano at age three, singing in choirs at eleven, and by his second year in high school he began guitar. This is one kid to watch!
