TALIA – lilac

Brooklyn-based creative TALIA is one of those artists who seems to have a natural flair for constructing songs that feel timelessly classic yet future-forward at the same time. It’s a skill that few have the ability to perfect, yet TALIA does so with ease.

‘lilac’ is the musician’s new single, and presents listeners with a distinct style of sound that is dreamy and ethereal in character, but is also filled with interesting and unexpected layers and textures.

“‘lilac’ takes you on a sonic adventure, evoking deep emotions.”

The song serves as the latest addition to an already impressive catalogue of releases from this rising talent, whose work has been praised by the likes of Lyrical Lemonade, Early Rising, Earmilk and Atwood Magazine.

‘lilac’ was written and produced by TALIA and Joep Le Blanc, and is lifted from the artist’s forthcoming EP.

New Music: TALIA

A gorgeously minimal and dark blend of RnB and electronic pop.

“I remember the day I wrote ‘colder;’ I was reflecting a lot on a complicated relationship I had a while ago. Coming out of a relationship with a lot of confusion and miscommunication hurts because I felt like it could have been saved ‘if only’ I or the other person had fought harder for it. Regret is always annoying because it just creeps back in. I usually write songs to help me understand or process my emotions. It’s definitely jarring to feel like the person I gave so much love and warmth to could suddenly be so cold.”
