One of our favourite releases this weekend comes courtesy of Miranda Joan and her shimmering new single ‘Too Much’.
Born in Montréal and based in Brooklyn, this promising newcomer is already making waves throughout the tastemaker world – thanks to her refreshingly original productions that fuse alternative R&B and pop with jazz and progressive soul.
Elaborating on the inspiration behind her deliciously sultry and psychedelic track, Joan says:
“The single was written in a desperate moment when I found myself in the aftermath of indulgence. Sometimes when you love deeply, you can lose yourself in it. The single asks the question: what’s the harm in having one more?”
Aside from her working as a recording artist, Joan is also an accomplished performer who has shared stages with global artists as prominent as Shawn Mendes, Lorde and Andy Grammar.
