Kahone Concept – It’s Safe to Say I Have Regrets

While this isn’t the first time that we have featured American musician Kahone Concept’s work, this track does mark somewhat of a departure from his usual upbeat sound.

‘It’s Safe to Say I Have Regrets’ is a contemplative song which finds the artist looking back at his past, and thinking about his actions. It’s a piece of music that is refreshingly honest and heartfelt, and is one of our favourite Friday releases today.

“I often think back to times I should have treated people with kindness or patience, but I didn’t. Who I was as a kid at moments really bothers me. I look back on a lot and absolutely cringe. Maybe that’s the maturity everyone told me about my whole life. It gets so annoying when people say ‘wait till you get older’. It’s true to an extent. Who I am now would handle it all differently. I guess I wouldn’t be who I am today if I didn’t make all those mistakes. The hardest part of putting out a song admitting my mistakes is knowing I’m bound to make many more. It feels really contradicting, almost like I’ll never learn. Eh, screw it, it’s how I feel.”

The song is part of a series of releases by Kahone Concept, which will all come together soon under an album called ‘The Greatest Hits’.

Kahone Concept – Hey, Have It Your Way

American artist Kahone Concept returns with a charming new single that addresses the complexities of human relationships.

‘Hey, Have It Your Way’ is one of those songs that you instantly fall in love with. In addition to it’s witty lyricism, the song’s production is equally impressive.

By fusing elements of nostalgic, 80’s-tinged pop with indie, the sound feels retro and familiar while still maintaining a sense of freshness. Elaborating on the track’s inspiration, he says:

“Relationships can be hard. Whether it’s a romantic, friendly, or family relationship, we all at some point have felt like we are constantly giving up what we want to make someone else happy. The irony of it is the person we feel we give so much too, often times feels the same way about us. Yeah, yeah, we shouldn’t be keeping score but sometimes it just feels great to complain. We do things for those we love, because we love them, but it doesn’t mean we can’t give them a hard time along the way. This song is part of my plan to write, produce and release a song a month for twelve months. At the end it will be released as a collective debut album called ‘The Greatest Hits’. Turns out it’s a lot like pizza places that says ‘Best Pizza In Town’, nobody is going around verifying.”

Kahone Concept has garnered more than a million career streams to date. Keep this kid on your radars over the next year!

New Music: Kahone Concept

This week’s award for most relatable song title goes to ‘I Like You but Don’t Talk’ from Pittsburgh-based singer and producer Kahone Concept.

Melodically memorable and lyrically playful, the song treats listeners to an infectiously feel-good fusion of pop and rock. Explaining the meaning behind the song, Kahone says:

“Sometimes you want to be left alone without any hard feelings towards those around you, No grandma it’s not personal, I just really don’t feel like explaining why I am not married yet. No mom I’m not upset with you, I just don’t really feel like talking about if I’m eating healthy lately. No boss, it’s not personal, wait actually never mind you can’t really talk to your boss like that.”

While Kahone Concept might be a name new to you, this talent is already picking up significant momentum, and has garnered more than a million cumulative streams to date.
