KAMILLE – weight loss

Singer, songwriter and producer KAMILLE returns with a perfected slice of pop through the release of her new single ‘weight loss’.

An empowering anthem for the broken hearted, the song looks at the liberating feelings we experience when we finally let go of the things that hold us down.

“weight loss isn’t actually what people think it’s about! It’s not literally about losing weight… It’s about finally losing the weight of a toxic relationship you’ve had in your life or a heavy feeling that’s been on your shoulders for years and finally you let it go. Suddenly you feel lighter and feel free, and so euphoric and so happy when you realise that the weight off your shoulders is gone.

“I wanted to write about the strength and confidence we feel after getting over what feels like a mountain to climb or a bad break up in a way that hasn’t been done before. When you know you’re finally over someone, and you remember who you are again, it can feel like you’re floating. Those burdens and those arguments and all those tears that were weighing you down are finally gone.”

When not working on her own music, KAMILLE is a respected songwriter who has collaborated with the likes of Little Mix, Dua Lipa, Mabel, Headie One and Stormzy – accumulating over 6.8 billion collective streams and 31 UK platinum certifications to date.

KAMILLE – Sad Party (feat. Ivorian Doll & Haile)

With the help of Ivorian Doll and Haile from RnB collective WSTRN, the British musical powerhouse that is KAMILLE releases a summer bop like none other in the form of ‘Sad Party’.

“’Sad Party’ is all about trying to get over the one you miss the most, and how difficult it can be to move on. Everyone around you seems so happy, and you feel like the only one heartbroken. ‘Friday night highs but I’m feeling low’ – I love this lyric so much! We’ve all been there – t-shirt, a bad movie & binging on ice cream on a Friday night because you’re just.. that.. sad.”

Just to remind you of how special this seasoned hitmaker is, KAMILLE is not only a singer, songwriter and producer but also a label, studio and publisher owner who was the first artist to ever be offered their own studio within London’s iconic Metropolis Studios.

KAMILLE – Somebody (feat. Ebenezer)

KAMILLE is already a hugely established name on the British music scene, having recently achieved her 15th top 10 single as a credited songwriter for artists like Dua Lipa, Mabel and Clean Bandit to name a few . So you’re right to guess that this release is nothing short of sublime.

“I wrote ‘Somebody’ for anyone experiencing loneliness, heartbreak, or just really missing the person they love. It’s been such a tough year and I just wanted to bring some positive vibes through my music! And Ebenezer added something so special to the song that I had to drop it asap. Really hope you love it as much as I enjoyed making it.”
