Wow! This follow up from Duke Dumont cannot be faulted. Whether it’ll get as big as ‘Need U (100%)‘ got, I’m not sure but this is class.

Co-written by teenage wonder-kid and Alfitude favourite MNEK (who recently sung on Rudimental’s ‘Spoons’ with Syron) the Duke will release ‘Need U (100%)’ on his newly minted Blasé Boys Club label.

You probably know who MNEK is by now, I’ve mentioned him on here a couple of times because he’s pretty awesome. He’s basically like a pop child prodigy. I had the opportunity to shoot some questions at him, and he had the opportunity to shoot some answers back…

I’ve been a bit obsessed with MNEK for a while now. Anyway, this song is not new, but it’s been reworked and is getting a proper release that an amazing tune like this deserves. He’s also co-written current crazy hit ‘All Fired Up’ by The Saturdays which is top 10 in the UK charts at the moment.
You know what I like about him? He puts enough fun in his pop without it sounding like something out of a CBeebies show. Check him out!
Before I ran this blog, I shared one with my ex-wifey called Baby Sonic Trap. It didn’t last very long. Anyway, Mnek was one of the artists I featured on that old blog, and I kind of forgot about it for a while but his song, ‘If Truth Be Told’ came on my iTouch yesterday and I remembered just how fun this guy is. He’s only a teenager- something like 15 or 16 maybe? But so so good! Check out here.
