Noah Richardson – 7 Minutes in Heaven

We’ve been following American alt-pop artist Noah Richardson’s career for quite some time now, and it’s so rewarding to see this talent begin to pick up so much traction.

Noah returns today with a punchy new single called ‘7 Minutes in Heaven’. The song was lyrically inspired by that one person who comes into your life and completely takes a hold over you.

Sonically, Richardson designed the track with his followers in mind, and has been created in a way so that ‘fans can drunkenly sing it at the bar with friends.’ He elaborates:

“Something you can scream at the top of your lungs and get out all that intimate animosity you have for that special someone. Here comes trouble, and I’m about to have my life ruined and love every second of it.”

Richardson’s rise so far has been impressive. Last year’s debut album ‘Dead To Me’ has already been streamed more than 275k times, and the artist is currently in the middle of a nationwide tour across the USA – more details can be found here.

Noah Richardson – Dead To Me

Philadelphian artist Noah Richardson has been one of our favourite indie-pop discoveries of the year, and today sees this budding musician return with some more great sounds.

Lifted from his album of the same name (out now), Richardson’s new single ‘Dead To Me’ is inspired by the feelings of pure bitterness that come about from a bad relationship.

While the lyricism is raw and dark, the song’s playful production blends elements of indie with bedroom-pop in an utterly charming way, leaving listeners hooked and wanting to hear more.

“‘Dead to Me’ is just a real sarcastic, Go f*ck yourself kind of vibe. You did me wrong and I hope you pay for it. I think of Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, head up high taking on the day, not giving a damn.”

New Music: Noah Richardson

Philadelphian newcomer Noah Richardson unveils a summer indie bop like none other today with the release of his new single ‘WHEREVER U GO’.

Presenting a fusion of hazy lo-fi pop, indie and R&B, the song bounces from melancholic verses to euphoric choruses – leaving listeners in a constant state of surprise.

The production perfectly mirrors the lyrical concept for the song – which looks into the emotional ups and downs of having to move on, as Richardson explains:

“Moving on can be an incredibly difficult thing, ‘Wherever U Go’ is kinda my way of dancing through that pain and that process. Despite the challenges, despite the heartbreak, despite everything burning down around you, you still find a way to dance through the ashes. These past couple months have been incredibly difficult for me. From health issues, losing friendships, family problems, etc. It all just felt like one thing after another but now i’m finally kinda seeing the end of it I think? Yanno, as much as I want to write my songs for the public and for others, I really use them as medicine for myself initially too. It’s therapeutic. A lot of the time I find myself smiling through the pain and the pressure and I just wanted a way to let it all go. That’s what this song is to me.”
