Public Order – Joker

Public Order really are marking themselves as one of the UK’s most promising indie newcomers. Today’s release of ‘Joker’ only goes to further showcase their incredible talent, and we’re thrilled to be sharing it with you.

It’s a bold and energising indie-rock anthem that grips you from the moment you press play. Elaborating on the lyrics, Public Order say:

“‘Joker’ is a bittersweet snapshot of youth. It’s about living in the moment, embracing the chaos, the messiness, and the beautiful but fleeting moments. It’s the realisation that not everything is meant to last, and that’s okay.”

The track is taken from the group’s debut ‘HELLO’ EP, which is out on the 28th of March (pre-save here). Until then, you can catch the guys on a UK-wide tour with Alfitude favourites Everyone You Know, starting in Birmingham this Friday. Full dates and venues are below.

Public Order – STRANGER

Rising UK outfit Public Order impress us once again with the release of another powerful indie anthem, this time going by the title of ‘STRANGER’.

This is the kind of song that rewards you the longer you listen. Starting as a relatively stripped-back production, the track evolves into a bold, intense, and extremely moving sound, which is really quite something to behold. Elaborating on the release, the band says:

“‘STRANGER’ for us is exactly what Public Order is about—it’s guitar music and storytelling, backed by the synths and drums of the dance music we love and grew up on.”

The group has amassed more than 2.5 million streams from the release of just three singles to date. And with that, we reckon 2025 might be the year that these chaps break into the mainstream!

Public Order – HELLO

Track of the week. Welsh indie-rockers Public Order are back with one of their biggest releases to date. If you’re craving some raw, powerful sounds then we’ve got a treat in store for you.

‘HELLO’ is almost cinematic in style, and showcases the band’s immense potential. With each release, Public Order seem to be one step closer to becoming a global name. On their new single, they say:

“It’s been a while but we’re buzzing to be back with new music! The last 18-months have been a bit of a roller coaster for us but we took some time out to work on new music and even managed to sign a new record deal. ‘HELLO’, produced by fellow Welsh residents Damon Minchella and Tom Manning, is the first track to be taken from a forthcoming EP. It’s a pulsing, guitar driven indie banger which we love and have been champing at the bit to get out into the world.”

Since 2022, Public Order have gone from strength to strength. Their music has been featured on the FIFA 22 soundtrack, and has also been hyped on prominent outlets like BBC Radio 1.

New Music: Public Order

It’s clear that Public Order have their sights set on global indie-rock domination. With a flair for delivering raw yet upbeat sounds, this outfit deliver a new approach to the genre that is exciting and fresh.

Their release of ‘Feels Like Summer’ is a perfect example of what we can expect from the emerging Welsh trio. This is an immediately captivating track that harks back to the classic 90’s Madchester era, while still sounding new and future-forward.

“‘Feels Like Summer’ is about not being a miserable bastard, life’s not that deep, stop making it deep and getting all in your feels about it. The tune’s basically us giving ourselves a good talking to and saying ‘get on with it cos it ‘Don’t get better than this’.”
