Watch: renforshort + glaive – fall apart

‘fall apart’ marks an anthemic production debut for renforshort, who teams up with the equally fantastic glaive on this piece of pop-punk perfection.

“This song has been a favourite song of mine for so long now, I feel like I’ve been waiting forever to put it out, I knew it needed a feature though and that’s why it was taking even longer, legit a year later I knew who I wanted to do it and we got glaive on it, who is probably one of my favourite artists ever, so I’ve been so excited about that for so long now and I think it’s a really cool song.” – renforshort

renforshort – virtual reality

Toronto talent renforshort has released one of the stand-out singles of the week. ‘virtual reality’ is a track which looks at the impact of social media alongside the singer’s anxiety, boredom, loneliness, and fear.

“Ever since I was young, social media has played a major role in my mental wellbeing, and I became so accustomed to it, it became a part of my routine and it came before everything else. The moment I wake up, almost instinctively, I check my phone. Depending on what I see in the morning, basically determines how I’m gonna feel for the rest of the day. I hate it. But I can’t stop. And what’s most ironic about this all is you’re likely going to read this on social media or listen to the song on some sort of electronic device…”

renforshort – afterthoughts

Musical beauty in it’s most simplest form. The track is part of the soundtrack to a new Disney musical drama called ‘Clouds‘, which is based on the memoir ‘Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom’s Small Prayer in a Big Way‘, about the life and death of singer-songwriter Zach Sobiech.

“It’s a very emotional movie, it touches on love romantically and familial, health, and fulfilling your life and achieving your dreams. These are all things that I believe the average person thinks or has at least thought about before. I think of these things all the time and expressing them is hard. This song is basically a stream of consciousness and the things that keep me up at night. They’re the things that worry me and make me happy.”
