Daniel Allan – Cool Water (with DEEGAN)

Following on from his acclaimed ‘Overstimulated’ project last year, American producer and NFT artist Daniel Allan returns with a brand new track and EP.

Created alongside DEEGAN, new single ‘Cool Water’ is lifted from Allan’s ‘Glass House’ project (out now), which also features appearances from Alfitude favourites slenderbodies and Reo Cragun.

“‘Cool Water’ is about making sure the people in your life have your back. DEEGAN, who wrote this song, actually quit smoking nicotine during the writing camp for this EP. Everyone there was worried about him and a light bulb just went off for him and he quit that week and wrote this song with me. It’s about appreciating the people you have in this life and never taking it for granted.”

Allan’s distinctive work has already garnered significant momentum – with the artist now commanding over 160k monthly Spotify listeners, acquiring millions of catalogue streams, and receiving critical praise from the likes of Wonderland, TIME and Billboard.

Lyrah – In The Leaves

Rising indie artist Lyrah unveils a stunning slice of emotive dance-pop today through the release of her new single, ‘In the Leaves’.

Created alongside acclaimed producer Jon Wienner and written with Benji Cormack from Slenderbodies, the song was inspired by a dream that Lyrah had experienced:

“I wrote this song about a dream I had before I decided to quit my stable, full time job. In the dream I kept waking up outside, like on the sidewalk in San Francisco and in the leaves by a road. I kept choosing that over my bed or car, and it felt surprisingly calm when I’d wake up outside of my home. I had a session with Benji and we talked about this dream and how it seemed to mirror my life choice of staying in the comfort of a full time job or leaving and being satisfied with less. I quit the job and I kept the song.”

Lyrah currently commands over 200k monthly listeners on Spotify, while also garnering critical praise from the likes of Earmilk and COLORS.

slenderbodies – superpowerful (with Crooked Colors)

slenderbodies team up with Crooked Colors to create a beautifully euphoric slice of dream pop, all for a good cause.

They’re launching a campaign on Propeller to drive action for The Trevor Project, who work to provide immediate support & assistance for struggling LGBTQ youth.

Fans can take actions like signing petitions, donating, and sharing on socials to enter to win a virtual meet & greet with the band plus an exclusive merch bundle. The more actions they complete, the more entries they’ll earn towards winning the experience.

All funds raised will help The Trevor Project expand its 24/7 lifeline, chat, and text crisis services so they can reach even more of the more than 1.8 million LGBTQ youth who seriously consider suicide in the US each year.
