The most relatable song of the week goes to 24-year-old Indiana native Christian French with ‘OH WELL’. The track finds Christian on the continued search to truly get to know himself – by taking back control of his life, owning his lows, and openly acknowledging his ‘bad days’.
“I wrote this song after a bunch of super shitty days in a row, where I just couldn’t catch a break. Things kept going wrong and I was feeling more and more disconnected from myself by the day. Usually around this time I start to implode, but writing this song helped me step off the ledge and not take things so personally – sometimes after so long all u can do is let go and say oh well.”
Christian French releases his new EP ‘good things take time’ today, and with it come the visuals for the lead single from the project.
It’s brimming with optimism, and let’s face it, we could all do with some of that this year. Speaking on the EP, Christian shares:
“I’ve realised life is going to throw you curveballs, and there’s no way to know what’s coming or how to perfectly deal with things. All you can do is your best in every situation and approach challenges optimistically. Be patient. What you’re going through will help you continuously grow and become a better version of yourself. That’s what life is about.”
