Finn Askew – Egotism

Track of the week. I have no doubt in my mind that Finn Askew will become a household name by the end of this year. His EP ‘Peach’ is out now, and with it comes the release of ‘Egotism’, which is just about the best pop song you’ll listen to all day. On the EP, Finn says:

“I wanted to create something that showed how creative I really am. I’m a kid from a small countryside town where there is no music scene at all but I’ve had so many musical influences, which has created my mad diverse music taste.”

Finn Askew – Same Old Love

Finn Askew has been steadily gaining momentum since the release of ‘Roses‘ earlier in the year.

Now he’s back with his third single and it’s another piece of indie-pop that is instantly loveable.

“’Same Old Love’ is super unique I feel, experiments with a lot of sounds. I love the fact that the overall sound of the song is happy but the meaning is actually pretty sad, a kinda audio oxymoron.”

Taken from the upcoming EP ‘Peach’ which can be pre-saved here.

Watch: Finn Askew – PEACH

“I remember the day before going to the studio texting Earl Saga and being like, tomorrow we are making a song called Peach and it’s going to be great. This song has been on such a journey and has been in the bank for a while, so i’m just so gassed for it to be finally out”.

New Music: Finn Askew

A British talent with some of the most charming indie-pop you’ll likely indulge yourself with all week.

“It’s so beautiful to see this creation take life. I was 16 when I wrote it, literally got the beat from YouTube, I loaded up Garage Band, grabbed my £20 microphone and that’s how it was born. So this song means a lot to me.”
