Algerian-born singer Miraa May has been on my radar for a good few years now, so I’m pretty stoked to see that she has finally announced the release date for her debut album.
Serving as a personal ode to her childhood adversities, ‘Tales of a Miracle’ is available from the 27th May 2022 via Republic Records, and features new single ‘Wild Things’.

Directed by Charlie Coombes, the video was shot in multiple South London locations and tells the story of a rebellion – a call to action: ‘We fix the systems you hate’.
Emerging UK rapper Sainté releases new single ‘No Love’ featuring vocals from the equally talented Miraa May. This is a song that is propulsive, intimate and atmospheric, further proving that the Leicester talent is one to watch.

I have made no secret of just how much of a Hamzaa fan I am. This collaboration with the equally fabulous Miraa May is some of the finest British pop you’ll likely listen to so far this year; bold, powerful, and full of confidence.

Looking through previous posts, all I can see from Miraa May that’s been featured on Alfitude was a random post back in 2013 where she performed for a Google segment.
So it’s pretty awesome to see the evolution (albeit five years later) of her talent becoming a sort of new-Amy Winehouse vibe. She’s also has some tracks produced by Salaam Remi… Can’t get any better really.
