A mix of Norwegian power pop and EDM.

A very eclectic bedroom-pop sound that manages to blend funky bass notes with synth and a sense of nostalgia.

“New fears is about embracing your fears and just do it. Even if it doesn’t fit into society’s way of doing stuff. It is supposed so show people how I cope with my fears, acknowledge them, but then again just do it if it brings me closer to my goals!”

I can safely say that I haven’t heard conceptual pop like this for quite some time… At first this isn’t an easy listen, but the more you dive into the sound the more drawn in you become.
“The lyrics in this song are kind of two sided. I guess it’s a song about how I’ve thrived under the attention I’ve received in previous years whilst releasing music in Norway, but also how I hate and feel kind of strangled by the pressure that comes with it.”

Norwegian pop with an essence of bluegrass. This song in particular is competing to represent the country at this year’s Eurovision, and I think it’s got a strong chance.

“The day I wrote this song I was upset because it hit me that along the way you’ll get to know people that you think genuinely care about you as a person, but you slowly realise that that’s not the case. With that being said, this song is not full of hate. It’s not a song to hurt anyone. I made this song to make myself stronger and to realise that I should use my time and energy with those who care, and the ones who make me happy.”

“Musically I wanted to capture the fear of getting caught and you’re dirty secret being exposed. The tension. The anxiety. The guilt. Everyone has a nasty side. But all the word’s a stage, so we hide it.”

While entirely sung in Norwegian, there’s no shying away from this new native RnB talent.

“The song itself is about realising that I really can’t be anyone while being in a really dark time of my life. I can only be myself, and if that isn’t good enough for someone, then i need to move on, but in the song i’m still holding on to the idea of what she could be, because it’s hard and I don’t really want to leave, even when I have to.”

Purely sung in Norwegian, this is a dark and intense pop sound that builds up to be quite an epic experience.
