The Swedish music industry is going nuts over this little lady- and you can see why when you start listening to that huge, powerful voice. Check out here.

New Music: Cornelia
Quirky, jazzy Swedish pop. Interestingly, this is self-released through the advice of Swedish queen of pop, Robyn. Check out here.
New Music: Black Pistol Fire
Something a bit different now- but that’s the great thing about new music. Black Pistol Fire are a perfect blend of blues and rock, and to be honest it seems to be very poppy as well, which is only a good mix in my books. They’ve been around since 2009 but this is the first I’ve heard of them, so I’m sharing! Check out here.
New Music: Frank + Derol
If there’s one song you have to hear this week, it’ll be this one. So, so cute. It twinkles with breezy, calm pop and delves in to some light trip hop. Lovely. Check out here.
New Music: PYYRAMIDS
This sound reminds me of that dark 90’s indie sound that warmed you and scared you t o death at the same time. I wasn’t expecting myself to like this, but as it turns out this is probably one of my favourite bands of the week so far. PYYRAMIDS will release their debut EP Human Beings on 17th September 2012, through Paracadute. Check out here.
New Music: Thundamentals
This Australian 3-piece are making considerable buzz- the video above’s racked up almost 250k views on YouTube. It’s nice to hear a hip hop collective that are taking themselves seriously. Check out here.

New Music: Jon Jonsson
It’s Wednesday, and its half way through my holiday and I feel like I haven’t even started my break yet, which sucks. But anyway, this Icelandic chap has an infectiously happy sound that is already very popular in his homeland. This little song that should shake any midweek blues away. Check out here.
New Music: Maya von Doll
Maya von Doll is a very special lady. That’s because she’s responsible for co-writing half of one of the standout pop albums from last year, that of Nicola Roberts‘ – including Beat of My Drum. She was also part of electro-pop band and Youtube hit, Sohodolls .The single’s just come out, and I’m so excited to see where this goes next! Check out here.
New Music: Paul Cook and The Chronicles
I don’t really know much about this chap but the song speaks for itself, a beautiful, simple summery track. Released August 6th. Check out here.
New Music: Yes Nice
Cheeky rock/ indie/ pop sound from this five-piece Canadian band. Check out here.

Eclectic indie pop. This is the band who, whilst holding down 9 to 5’s (which includes call centres, a phlebotomist, and even producing duties, drummer Charlie Andrew recently produced the new Alt-J record) conceived and curate their own festival: In The Woods. Check out here.
New Music: Leverage Models
A very 80’s sound but without all the disco/ neon laced beats that we’ve become accustomed to. Check out here.
