This stuff is so new that I couldn’t find too many videos of Kurtis John so I’ve posted this cover of Lykke Li which is pretty nice, but I know you can listen to the EP on Facebook. Formerly in a band called The Last Goodnight. Check out here.

New Music: Sun Glitters
They call it ‘post-dubstep’. “Sun Glitters sound is an ocean of lush melodies, pitch-shifted vocal samples, ghostly digi-diva choirs, warm bass melodies driven by alternately dense and relaxing beatwork combinations between downtempo and wonky beats.” Check out here.

New Music: Scala & Kolacny Brothers
Something a bit different today. Scala is a unique thing. The classically trained Kolacny Brothers; Steven (piano) and Stijn (conducting) have turned their Belgian all-girl choir into an international phenomenon, performing reinterpretations of Radiohead, U2, Nirvana and Metallica songs (to name but a few) as well as their equally successful original compositions. Check out here.
New Music: Electric Guest
LA-based pop with that hazy, dreamy California sound. The new Chester French perhaps? It’s very sexy. Check out here.

New Music: Ulrik Munther
Swedish 17 year old kid who’s made a buzz for himself for winning a talent show in Sweden and also doing a pretty decent cover of Gaga’s Born This Way. Album’s due out later this month in Scandinavia. The track above isn’t a lead single but I love it. Beats Justin Bieber to a pulp. Check out here.
New Music: Flowers and Sea Creatures
A deep, atmospheric, cinematic sound with soaring impressionistic vocals and crystalline acoustic guitars riding over fuzzy autumnal chords. The crisp future-disco beats and studio sparkle comes courtesy of a trio of top-drawer co-producers – Ewan Pearson, ex-Montrealer Fred Everything and The Revenge. All three have helped shape their debut album, ‘Flowers and Sea Creatures’.
Flowers and Sea Creatures make their debut live London appearance as a duo at The Nest, Dalston, London on Fri Sep 9 as part of a Buzzin’ Fly party that also features Watergate’s Lee Jones, Mano Le Tough and Chris Woodward. Full band dates are expected later in the year. Check out here.

New Music: Tropics
A lot of bands seem to have something tropical in their names right now so you might think you’ve already heard this before. But you probably haven’t. This is a different Tropics. And a good one too. Atmospheric pop that uses a whole load of sounds to make something beautiful and a bit magical. Check out here.
