We’re starting the new year with a hypnotic anthem from rising American talent Faint Tape.
This outfit’s style of work (according to their own words) is ‘somewhere between cassette soul, soft chaos, and TikTok heartbreaks. We write songs for the part of you that never hits send.‘
‘BITE’, though, is somewhat of a divergence from Faint Tape’s usual style. This is a dark yet deviously playful electronic pop song that fuses pulsing beats with an airy vocal, resulting in a sound that is both intriguing and infectious.
The track follows on from their ‘Ghost B-Sides’ EP, which was released last year and can be heard here.
“This song is the most personal song we have. It’s about when we first moved to the other side of the world, away from everything we’ve ever known. he song is more of a diary entry of everything going through our heads. It’s about coming to terms with sacrificing time with our friends and family, knowing it was potentially that it could be the last time we’d see some of them.” – Tim Aitken, Sametime
Taken from the upcoming EP ‘Get Out Whilst You Can’, out next month.
U V A R O V is a Ukrainian-born, independent artist based in London, who has been working on his music since the age of 13. This talent draws from a wide range of musical genres to create his own distinctive sound – from hip hop to electronica.
‘[Autr0]’ is the closing track from U V A R O V’s latest album, ‘Raznoobrazie’ (listen here), and showcases an impressive fusion of drum & bass and UK garage.
“It serves as a reflective ending, leaving space and emotion after the album’s intensity.”
With its hypnotic beat and mesmerising soundscape, we can imagine that this track will find its way into many playlists over the coming weeks.
We came across a really interesting (and mysterious) artist today, and we’re blown away by their work.
sevyz is a producer, songwriter and remix artist who crafts some of the most compelling electronic pop that we’ve experienced in quite some time.
‘Love Letter’ presents the listener with a production that starts off somewhat controlled, gradually adding instrumentation that increases in intensity.
It’s a beautifully constructed style of work that showcases this musician’s flair for producing sounds that are meticulously crafted yet deeply emotive. You can explore more of sevyz’s work on their Spotify.
Four-time Grammy-nominated artist Sara Diamond began writing ‘Mother’ at the end of last month, sharing clips on social media along the way. In that time, those posts gathered a tonne of momentum – an Instagram clip for the song totalled 1.2m views alone.
Fans who demanded a full version of the song will be pleased today, as the track has just been released. And it’s a beautiful, deeply moving piece of music with some of the most powerful words we’ve heard in a song in some time.
“so incredibly blown away by your reaction to ‘mother’… your comments and videos have made me cry tears of pain and joy at the same time- music has the power to heal and it’s an honor that something I was able to channel has had the impact it has had on you.”
Loved by critics and music listeners alike, it might not be a surprise to know that Sara’s work has amassed more than 38 million career streams, making her one of Canada’s most prominent pop artists in recent years.
Swiss experimental artist Pet Owner has held a special place in our hearts for some time. She’s back today with a wonderful new single, called ‘After Summer’.
Crafted as a ‘hyperfolk ballad’, this song really is an experience; lyrically introspective – inspired by the theme of ‘wanting to sense it all, yet feel nothing’ – while sonically avant-garde and refreshingly intriguing.
As the world keeps spinning relentlessly, the voice seeks a split second of silence. “Dancing on my own as if there’s no tomorrow.”
If this is your first time listening to Pet Owner, then be sure to check out her previous records on Spotify, where she currently draws in more than 4k listeners and has amassed more than 70k streams to date.
This weekend’s anthem comes from the massively popular EDM duo LUCØ, and their brilliant new single, ‘Falling Back’.
These two brothers from New York have already built up a solid fanbase thanks to their uplifting, playful electro releases, and this track is no exception.
Flirting between classic Eurodance productions of the 90s and today’s electronica sounds, the song feels both nostalgic and current at the same time.
LUCØ attract more than 600k monthly Spotify listeners, and have an equally impressive presence on social media, with over 230k Instagram followers and almost 5 million likes on TikTok.
UK-based newcomer Ella Conder is a promising electronic artist who is not only a singer but also a songwriter and producer. We came across this 22-year-old talent today and had to share her work with you.
Inspired by the likes of Billie Eilish and Kate Bush, Conder crafts a style of sound that carries an undertone of melancholy. New single ‘How Does It Feel?‘ is a perfect introduction for listeners yet to discover her work. This thought-provoking track was inspired by the effects of bullying, and makes a powerful statement against those who hurt others.
“Working on this track with my best mate Ben was one of the most inspiring days we’ve had in the studio. We wanted to build a little sound world that felt dark and moody, but still held a softness that lets you sink into a more introspective place. We produced it in a completely different way than we normally do, using instruments we don’t usually reach for, and it gave the song a raw, new energy that really excited us. Lyrically, it’s really about those moments where I take on feelings from how people interact with me, and reminding myself I don’t have to carry the weight of their actions.”
The song was recently featured by BBC Introducing as their ‘Track of the Day’, showing that this is an artist worth keeping on your radars.
“As I’ve watched the world change, I’m struck by the way that history tends to deal in broad strokes. It can mark moments, but it can’t hold the pain or the real human cost. That weight lives on in people- in families, in communities- long after, in ways no record can capture. That truth sits heavy on my heart, and it’s something I can’t overlook. I think even beyond that, the song comes from the interconnectedness I see in the sense that our private pain also lives inside a collective struggle. I feel that if we can share in grieving, we can also share in healing, and I’m stubbornly hopeful in that. I think “History” is a quiet prayer longing for courage, and it’s my refusal to give in to the temptation of despair.”
We’re starting the week with a refreshing alt-pop singer & songwriter from Florida, going by the name of malaya (pronounced‘muh-lie-uh’).
This talent has a unique approach to music-making that tastefully blends elements of pop with funk, R&B, and jazz. New single ‘man gone, better’ is an impressive track that feels both finessed and eccentric at the same time.
“‘man gone, better’ is a soundtrack meant for a James Bond action movie. A cinematic, heart-racing dance club anthem initially disguised as a break up song. This is the song you listen to before a job interview, at the gym, or even when in need of a good old cry.”
malaya has amassed more than 190k streams from only a handful of songs, which is no easy feat. Judging from what we’ve heard from this artist, we think she might well become one of Florida’s most exciting pop exports in 2026.
Dolder are a rising UK-based outfit consisting of identical twins Dani and Zara. We’re absolutely mesmerised with their new single, ‘The Motive’, which has just been released alongside their debut EP of the same name (listen here).
This Newcastle duo’s style of sound fuses indie and alternative pop and treats listeners to melodic songs that are easy to listen to while also being loaded with thoughtful lyrics.
Dolder have so far garnered praise from outlets as prominent as Rolling Stone, Wonderland, NME and Dork magazines. Not bad going for these two very gifted siblings!
Acclaimed American soul starlet Lily Lane has just dropped a brand new EP, ‘Domesticated’ (listen here), along with a fresh single called ‘Amnesia’.
The song is inspired by the feelings that someone can experience after healing from a breakup. The moments when you enjoy the empowerment of being single again, while still getting flashbacks from the relationship. It’s a catchy ode to moving on, while still acknowledging that at the end of the day, we are still humans that carry raw emotion with us.
Lane’s dedication to creating premium soul-pop has not gone by unnoticed. Over the years, this artist has amassed millions of views and streams across YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. Her songs have also soundtracked countless stories and loops on social media, proving that her music is not only sonically impressive but also lyrically relatable to listeners.
One of Berlin’s most exciting emerging music artists, in our opinion, is Cheap Wedding, and if her streaming and airplay figures are anything to go by, it looks like we’re not the only ones who think this way.
Cheap Wedding’s music is always a luxurious affair, as you’ll experience when you play her new single, ‘Deep Well’. Inspired by memories, this song is a masterclass in downtempo music and was co-produced by ORI (who has also collaborated with the likes of Drake and Fred again..).
With more than half a million career streams to date, this talent is clearly on her way up and looks set to have a very exciting year ahead.
If you’re in the mood for some finessed soul-R&B, then we’ve got a perfect talent to share with you today, going by the name of Gianna Alessi.
‘It’s Only Heaven’ is the artist’s new single and serves as a taster to her upcoming debut EP, which is out next year.
The track invites listeners into a dreamy soundscape filled with mellow grooves and sweet vocals, with lyrics that ‘push back against love built on fantasy, honey-laced words, pretty lines, and projections that feel flattering but hollow’.
To date, this promising New Yorker (now based in LA) has amassed more than 100k cumulative streams on Spotify. Alongside her own work, Alessi is also a vocalist who has worked with projects like the Symphonic Winds Symphony.
Bermudian singer and songwriter Hana Bushara only appeared on our radars earlier this week, and we’re so excited to be sharing her work with you.
‘5 Year Plan’ is a delightfully eccentric alt-pop song that showcases not only Bushara’s distinctive vocals but also her very distinct style of songwriting. The track was inspired by the artist’s recent move to London and encourages listeners to welcome the unpredictable nature of life.
“It’s a playful take on what it means to follow your dreams, have a plan (and not), and go for it anyway.”
Despite only releasing a handful of singles to date, we’re already impressed with Bushara’s artistry. You can explore more of her work over on Spotify.
South Korean talent Bryan Chase teams up with acclaimed producer Chaz Jackson (Tory Lanez and Prince Royce) on his latest offering, ‘Kill The Night’.
This is a beautifully crafted track that effortlessly fuses alternative hip hop with R&B and rock, resulting in a sound that feels deeply emotive, sincere, and heartfelt.
The song follows on from Chase’s well-received ‘GRANTED’ EP (listen here) and sets the tone for the artist’s next chapter in his creative work. We’re looking forward to seeing what the next year looks like!
Eight years on, and Brando’s voice is still one of the most recognisable in dance-pop, thanks to his part on Loud Luxury’s monster 2017 hit ‘Body‘ (which has been streamed more than 1.5 billion – yes, billion – times).
He’s back this week with a new single called ‘When You Stay’ which showcases not only his vocals but also his natural flair for songwriting. Speaking on the track, Brando says:
“I’ve been the voice behind one of the most streamed dance songs of the last decade – but ‘When You Stay’ is the first time I feel like I’m showing who I really am.”
With its simple pop production and catchy melody, we’re quite certain this track will win over a new legion of fans for this hugely gifted musician.
We’ve all been through moments in relationships when we feel like things are changing for the worse and yet can’t let go because the fear of loss is too strong. Carol Ades’s new single ‘Merry Go Round’ is all about that.
The track looks at the struggles between wanting to move forward while also being held back by fear, up until the moment when you decide to break the cycle.
“I wrote this song on a day where I was honestly just so over it all. I think I was starting to realize that if I wanted something to change I had to change it otherwise I’d be spinning in the same place forever.”
Ades has enjoyed tonnes of success recently, with more than 12 million career streams to date. Alongside her records, she’s also a seasoned performer who’s played at this year’s iconic Lollapalooza and also toured alongside the likes of Lizzy McAlpine, Holly Humberstone, and Suki Waterhouse.
LA-based artist and producer Silent Child returns with an impressive EP, ‘Voices In The Dark’ (listen here), and along with it an energising new single called ‘Get Well Soon’.
The perfect anthem to start the week with, this reflective bop looks at the feelings of accomplishment that come after a period of struggles. It’s a reminder to keep our heads held high and stay focused on our goals.
With its bold fusion of alternative pop and rock, the whole EP treats listeners to unexpected and refreshingly original sounds, while its central message of finding your own truth amidst a chaotic world is sure to resonate with all of us.
ALBA is the new musical project from Stockholm-based singer and songwriter Amanda Kongshaug.
Inspired by genres as diverse as electronica, alternative pop and indie, this musician crafts productions that feel unique in character while still maintaining a sense of sonic familiarity.
‘Runrunrunrun’ is a taster to the artist’s upcoming debut album and presents listeners with a melodic fusion of downtempo and dreamy pop. Speaking on the song’s lyrics, ALBA explains:
“The song is reflecting on commitment in relationships and the desire to feel free yet struggling with the guilt to not live up to expectations. It’s reflecting on the often times hard part of dating where people want to make sense out of things that are still very new and long before it’s yet ready to be put into a box. It’s written as a self reflective conversation to the other person admitting one’s own flaws while also asking for understanding that this might just be for the better.”
Aside from her solo work, Kongshaug has also written songs for the likes of Zara Larsson, Afrojack, Icona Pop andRudimental, so we’re very excited to see how 2026 shapes up for her ALBA project!
