First Watch: Erik Hassle ‘Stay’

The song premiered a few days ago and now here’s the video to the amazing Erik Hassle’s new single, ‘Stay’. So beautiful.

New Music: The Kixx

Electropop boyband who are singing a song originally written by the amazing Erik Hassle, who happens to be one of my absolute favourite artists.

I don’t know how I feel about them taking this song for themselves to be honest. It doesn’t sound anywhere near as good as the original but anything to raise Erik’s profile is good with me. Check out here.

First Listen: Erik Hassle ‘Are You Leaving’

Erik Hassle, one of my favourite Swedes of late, is previewing his first new single here (wait for the Swedish ad to finish then it plays straight after). It’s out in Sweden tomorrow. It’s excellent. An electro transition from the older Hassle stuff. Love it. Nothing this man does is wrong at the moment.

Erik Hassle due to release new EP!

My favourite ginger Swede pop sensation Erik Hassle is releasing a new EP, Taken, on 6 October in Sweden. Contains some old and new tracks. Super exciting!

1. Taken (Still In My Blood)
2. Standing Where You Left Me
3. Last Rider
4. If It Takes All Night
5. Family Affair
6. Taken (Still In My Blood) (Original Version)
7. Standing Where You Left Me (2010 Version)

Live: Erik Hassle, Ellie Goulding, Tinashe at Relentless Garage

I saw these guys at The Relentless Garage (it’s a venue in London that isn’t a garage nor is it relentless in any way) for HMV’s Next Big Thing festival. I am a bit obsessed with Erik Hassle, the ginger big haired skinny Swede with a really good voice and even better music. His album is out on Monday and you should really get it because it’s amazing and I haven’t stopped listening to it for the last few months. His first single here kind of tanked though:

Ellie Goulding was really good too, although she can’t shake her hips to save her life- how can someone with banging beats be so bad at dancing?

Tinashe was OK, his songs all sounded the same but he was friendly to look at.
