New Music: Brother Leo

If you know your Swedish pop you will recognise that this is in fact, Ola. Back with a new and almost unrecognisable sound (and with the help of Fatboy Slim), Brother Leo brings a new perspective to his already quirky vibe. This is the future, kids…

First Watch: Riva Starr & Fatboy Slim (feat. Beardyman) ‘Get Naked’

I keep watching this video over and over. It’s the new Fatboy Slim/ Riva Starr single.

First Listen: Riva Starr & Fatboy Slim feat. Beardyman ‘Get Naked’

A massive name in the electronic scene, known for his unique patchwork of styles, Riva Starr’s eclectic love of contrasting sounds reverberates through ‘Get Naked’. Fatboy Slim’s Midas touch and Beardyman’s vocals add an extra dimension to the track but all the while remaining in club-banger territory. Boasting lively drum beats and a huge bass-line that is a clear nod to DHS’ 1990 house classic ‘House Of God’, ‘Get Naked’ willtake dance floors across the world on an epic and exhilarating journey. A rare remix of ‘Get Naked’ is in the works from Carl Cox.

After his successful Mixmag ‘One More Tune’ compiliation, Riva Starr is hot property. A Riva track strikes chords we can all relate to: from the DJs that have appreciated his work (from Tiesto to A-Trak, Jesse Rose to Annie Mac and Gilles Peterson through to David Rodigan) to everyone in between whose nights he has sound tracked.

Indeed, Riva been hard at work on the DJ circuit – with over 190 gigs in 2010 alone – strutting his stuff in some of the coolest venues on the planet such as Panorama Bar, Space, Womb and Fabric as well as some of the biggest festivals in the world from Fuji Rock to Global Gathering to Exit and beyond. Released December 19th via Moshi Moshi Records.
