Sure to bring a smile to your lovely faces is this new track from Oh Land.
Sometimes friends let you down in a massive way. Yesterday evening was one such. I got blown out by a buddy minutes before heading to see Oh Land in Heaven London. I was gutted and annoyed. But I still went. Alone. And I sort of forgot all my frustration for a couple of hours because this lady is out of control. She drove everyone wild with her tribal beats and cute Danish voice. Catch her if you can.
A new slice of pop heaven from Oh Land, to feature on a re-release of the album she launched this year.

Here’s a first watch for Oh Land’s new single, White Nights. Quirky, eclectic, stylish, cool… etc…
Three of Sony Music’s most exciting rising stars (and personal favourites)- Oh Land, Mads Langer and Loick Essien, talk about how their lives have been shaped by music and how they have turned their dreams into reality with the help of Sony. Bit of a shameless plug but it’s a fun clip to watch that makes you get up and do something for yourself. There’s also a competition by Sony where you have to create a remix using Bob Dylan & Ting Tings samples. Check out here.
After the first time seeing Alex Clare live I knew I wanted to see him again. As it happened he was supporting Oh Land tonight at XOYO in ubercool Shoreditch. He didn’t disappoint, got me jumping around a little bit. I can’t wait for his album to drop!
Oh Land came on with a huge headdress made from feathers. She too was amazing, and clearly had a big crowd of devoted followers. One of the best shows I’ve seen this year (despite bumping into an ex of mine inside). All I can say about her music is it’s kinda like The Knife, but with a bit of heart. The Danish invasion continues. Oh, and Boy George was hiding in the crowd! Few more pics on my Flickr.
Right, I must confess that I thought I’d already written about Oh Land but scrolling through some of my stuff on here I realise I haven’t and it’s slightly embarrassing. Since first hearing her fantastic song ‘Sun Of A Gun’, she’s gone on to raid American TV shows while causing a crazy stir on the web. So actually, it’s not very new at all but it’s still exciting. Quirky, inventive and very well done Danish pop. She’s coming to London in May and I can’t wait for it. Check out here.
