h3nce – TALK BOY

Berlin’s h3nce is one of those rare talents who managed to gain widespread attention as soon as he debuted. Since 2022, this digital artist has amassed more than seven million catalogue streams and built up a fiercely loyal fanbase.

Today’s release of ‘TALK BOY’ shows off some of his best work yet. This bold piece of music doesn’t fit into any one genre, and mirrors the artist’s tendency to push boundaries and make sounds any way he wants.

The track is lifted from his forthcoming ‘WRITE IT ON YOUR FLAGS’ EP, which is produced by Leon Laguna and is out on the 14th November. The release coincides with a tour that h3nce will take across Europe, joining ThxSoMch along the way on some shows.

New Music: Kissmet

We came across British newcomers Kissmet only a few days ago when we managed to get an early listen of their music. Today sees the trio debuting with their first single, ‘Darling Don’t You Know Me’.

It’s almost impossible not to find some enjoyment with the track. This is pop in its purest form – a catchy melody, relatable lyrics, smooth vocals, and a well-crafted production. The simplicity of its sound means that anyone, from any generation, could feel a connection with the song.

“A song about keeping a relationship real and comfortable – accepting imperfection.”

Despite being a new act, this outfit seems to already understand what it takes to make good pop – so it’s likely you’ll see their momentum grow over the next few months!

LIZ – Likey

Hyperpop starlet LIZ returns with this weekend’s banger, and we’re quite sure you’ll be charmed by it as much as we are.

‘Likey’ was co-written by Jimmy Harry, who is known for his work with pop legends like Madonna, Britney Spears, and Kylie Minogue. And with a collaboration like that, you’d expect this track to be a bouncy electro banger, and that’s exactly what it is.

LIZ has been a fixture for almost a decade and still finds new and interesting ways to reinvent her sound, resulting in billions (yes, billions!) of TikTok listens and millions of streams across digital players.

MIIA – I Can Tell a Lie

Acclaimed Norwegian songstress MIIA opens up to listeners with her enchanting new single, ‘I Can Tell a Lie’.

Sonically, the track incorporates melancholic pop tones with elements of Norwegian folk, while the lyrics tell of the sorrow and bitterness that happens when someone we love lets us go.

It’s a song that feels emotional and raw and is sure to resonate with anyone who’s ever struggled with the guilt of being the one who breaks a relationship.

“It tells the story of loving someone deeply while knowing you’re the one who broke it. The lyrics are about self-sabotage, regret, and holding onto beauty even after love is lost.”

MIIA’s music has now been streamed more than 350 million times on Spotify alone – which is no mean feat. Her work has also been featured on Billboard and landed placements on playlists like New Music Friday.

New Music: Found Space

We have a sensational outfit to share with you today, all the way from America, going by the name of Found Space.

The musical project of Spen Oliver and Lillian Christopher, this duo create beautiful indie productions that are sonically textured, immersive, and utterly mesmerising.

‘nostalgia’ carries with it an essence of the 90s and features elements of trip hop, dreamy pop, shoegaze, and electronica. It’s a combination of genres that are almost impossible to perfect together, and yet Found Space do it with an effortless ease.

We’re striving for the future the world never had. It’s easy to feel let down by the hollowness of modern life, and like the adulthood we expected as kids has disappeared. We just want to put down our phones and go back to how things were, maybe make people feel something.

An upcoming EP, titled ‘cloud study’, is on the way. In the meantime, you can check out more of the duo’s songs here.

New Music: Tizane

We’re ending the week with an epic pop-rock banger, courtesy of Tizane’s and their fantastic new single, ‘Change For You’.

This track reminds us of classic Paramore, with its anthemic melody, confident production, and captivating vocals. Elaborating on the song’s meaning, the band says:

“Where self doubt turned into anger, and then into clarity. We’ve all been there, losing ourselves to please someone else. It’s about realising that the problem was never really me, and that I’d rather be alone and honest than loved for being someone I’m not.”

While still relative newcomers, this rising London-based trio have already garnered praise from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2, Kerrang! Radio, and LA Weekly.

New Music: Lila Holler

We’ve got a lot of space for artists that address mental health in their songs. Now more than ever, the world seems unpredictable and overwhelming, and sometimes we all need reassurance that things can get better.

Newcomer Lila Holler is one such artist who has just released a heartfelt song that feels like a warm hug for anyone who needs comfort right now. ‘The Way I Am Now’ was written at a time when Holler was facing her own struggles, as she explains:

“I wrote this song while in the midst of dealing with some mental health issues last year. Being in a serious relationship, I had to learn how to balance taking care of myself and showing up with my 50%. It’s a song laced with insecurities, written in the hopes that people who deal with the same struggles feel less alone.”

While still a new name, Holler has already impressed us with her work. And we’re not the only ones – as someone who was selected to attend the prestigious Grammy Foundation Grammy Camp, it’s clear that her music resonates across the industry.

Bradley Jago – Killer Queen

One of our favourite soul talents to emerge from the UK recently has been Bradley Jago, so we’re thrilled to be sharing with you his brilliant new single, ‘Killer Queen’.

This track showcases an uptempo production that seamlessly blends soul with indie pop. While the song is full of energy, the lyrics tell of the unnerving feelings we sometimes go through when we fall in love.

“It’s about surrendering my reservations in the name of love, and how being so vulnerable leaves your life in their hands.”

Jago’s momentum has grown at an impressive speed. With almost a million career streams on Spotify and selling out four shows to date, his talents are receiving their well-earned praise and attention. One to watch!

Masego – Unhinged

Photo / Aren Johnson

“The heart of ‘Unhinged’ comes from a place that feels like home to me — the jam session. It’s the environment where I feel the most free, the most honest. The kind of freedom that feels like play.

What I love about jam sessions is how much they reflect life. They’re imperfect, full of inside jokes and accidents that turn into art. You can’t always explain why something works – it just feels right.

I had just gone through a breakup and didn’t quite feel like myself, so I surrounded myself with sound and people who reminded me of who l was. After a breakup, people reinvent themselves. Some change their hair; I grew my beard. Tried new oils, new routines – maybe trying to become someone the old me couldn’t be hurt again.”

Chrissi – ONE IN FIVE !

Photo / Flora Scott

“I wrote the first verse of ‘ONE IN FIVE !’ back in 2020. I was 19, just learning about adulthood and depending on myself, it was a scary time for me mentally. I was working with my good friends Freemonk and Billy Ebanks, who created a super safe space for me to give room to these feelings. I sat on that verse for years and never really saw myself releasing or finishing it. Five years later, it feels insane, there’s been so much growth throughout this song, and it feels really powerful to me. There is strength in the harder parts of womanhood. I wrote ‘ONE IN FIVE !’ as a journal entry about the negative thoughts that swarm my head on some days – feelings I know a lot of other women share.”

New Music: Noah Zayden

Who is Noah Zayden? Good question—we’re not quite sure of ourselves. As much as we’ve scoped the blogosphere to try and learn more about this artist, we just couldn’t seem to find a backstory. And somehow, that makes Zayden even more interesting.

We came across this musician last week and were taken aback by the charming simplicity of his sultry new alt-R&B single ‘No Sale La Luna’. The production is stripped back, allowing for Zayden’s vocals to come through. And while the lyrics aren’t sung in English, the emotion is very much present.

From what we gather through his listeners on Spotify, Zayden seems to gain most traction in Argentina. You can stream more of his songs right here.

Pool Girl – Something to Say

Pool Girl is the musical moniker of artist and DJ Allie Nixon, an already rising talent hailing from the US.

‘Something to Say’ is from Pool Girl’s latest EP, ‘Ultramarine’, which is out today. The track feels dreamy, nostalgic and psychedelic in character and draws listeners into a soundscape that is really quite mesmerising to experience. Speaking on her new collection of songs, she says:

“Blue is the color I continually envisioned when writing these songs. In the past, I haven’t really associated colors with my music, but during the season I was writing these songs, I kept coming back to envisioning this bold, deep blue. Something about the color’s consistency and vibrance in a time where it felt like there was a lot of uncertainty and change kept me feeling centered. I’ve been deeply inspired by modern and contemporary fine artists, such as Yves Klein, and the name ‘Ultramarine’ is a nod to that.”

Pool Girl currently attracts more than 100k monthly listeners on Spotify and has had her songs streamed more than three million times to date. And with praise from outlets like Wonderland, we think this talent’s momentum will only continue to grow over the next year.

RIVER – I AM CANCER

Photo / John Scarisbrick Kopia

Swedish songstress RIVER has just unveiled a powerful new single that showcases some of the finest alt-pop currently emerging from the Scandinavian nation.

‘I AM CANCER’ is lyrically raw and is complemented by a production that is full of interesting sonic textures. This song blends fuzzy indie rock with nostalgic pop in a way that is really quite unique, and in doing so, evokes a multitude of emotions for the listener.

“‘I AM CANCER’ reflects an infected mind trying to love and receive love through a wall of defence protecting it from vulnerability — and therefore love itself. It communicates frustration around the inability to cure or hide an ugly mind stuck in false self-beliefs, believing it’s unworthy of true love.”

RIVER cites her inspirations as Portishead, FKA twigs and Prince, and you can hear this come through on her songs. If you’re now a fan, then be sure to check out her other songs here.

MOIO – PLAY HARD

‘“PLAY HARD!’ was probably one of the most fun to create, I don’t often find myself working with a ton of people but when I got working with Two Inch things we were clicking and we just fed off each other’s energy. When people listen to this song – I want them to feel the carefree energy and youthfulness that we felt when we were creating it.”

BOY SODA – SELFISH

Photo / Satoru Takamatsu

‘SELFISH’ is taken from BOY SODA’S debut album, ‘SOULSTAR’ (listen here), of which he says:

“There was this communal feeling that we were all doing something really incredible and special. It felt over-indulgent being able to have that many live instruments. I’m very aware of the rarity and the privilege to be able to make that album. But hey, who better than to call on your talented mates to make something special happen.”
