Canada really seems to be a hotbed for talent right now. This sound is a fusion of RnB and pop and is just pure bliss.

An indie-pop project that began in Tokyo and moved to LA.
“It came out of a period of some culture shock and at times, deep isolation, but also a time where i was feeling intensely creative and inspired.”

A powerful pop melody, accompanied by a beautifully simple and minimal production with strings.

Vocally sublime, and melodically heartfelt. This Mancunian talent is one to watch out for.
“Wait For Me is a song about people giving you chances, and not to just leave without giving you opportunity’s in every aspect of life.”

“We’ve both had our fair share of break-ups, be it romantic relationships or break down of a friendship. They never seem to get easier, and sometimes you have to convince yourself that breaking up is the best for both of you, even though you know you’re putting yourself first.”

Dark electro pop with a soulful twist… Quite a beautiful sound. The song almost reminds me of Robyn’s ‘With Every Heartbeat’ as it evolves.

”’Breathe It In’ is about being bad at just taking a moment to take things in and to not really appreciating what you have at the time, and instead always rushing forward. That you start to appreciate something when it’s over and that you then realise how great things were but you didn’t acknowledge it at the time. It could be from a relationship perspective but also general things in life.“

“The song is about the ups and downs I experience day to day as a person dealing with depression and anxiety. One day you might feel untouchable, and the next paranoid and irrational. It’s been hard to get to grips with in my mental health journey, but I wanted to write this song as a way for people to relate (as unfortunately I believe a lot of people can relate) and for them to understand that, with the right tools and the right help, we can have the power to overcome difficulty.”

“We’ve always been interested in creating music that blurs the lines between what you’d expect to hear from a live band and what you’d expect from an electronic producer and that was the goal we set out to achieve on this track.”

Feels like it’s been a hot minute since Denmark brought some premium pop over to Europe. That could change with ELBA – here’s a finessed pop sound with an old-school RnB vibe which is so smooth on the ears.

“I was playing in Taipei for the New Year, staying with my good friend Haoting. We hadn’t seen each other about a year and the energy around us was really strong. We immediately started working on ‘Let You’ and everything just came so naturally – the song was made in a week between noodle soup and some shooting for Haoting’s band.”

A really fun indie-folk duo from Long Island, with a feel of 60’s nostalgia. Oh, and in this instance, Molly refers to their uncle’s late, beloved dog.

Beautifully intense, dark yet eclectic pop from this classically trained London talent.

“‘The Peanut Butter Song’ came to be while I was trying to find a way to describe some toxic relationships in my life. They can be so hard to spot, and in fact a lot of red flags can come across as super appealing right off the bat. Things like ‘You are so unhappy, unorganised, let me help you get your life together’ or ‘I want to help you with your career!’ It all sounds great at first but there can be some really manipulative and controlling behaviours tied in with that kind of stuff. I like finding silly ways to talk about serious things.”

An intense fusion of soul and blues, blended with a dark yet frankly epic essence. The debut album, ‘Where Did We Get Lost’, is released on April 3rd via Blurred Recordings.
