First Watch: Juan Zelada ‘What Do I Know’

Well this is fun. Juan Zelada’s new single ‘What Do I Know’ is out with Decca Records on 13th February 2012. The new single was named ‘Record of the Week’ on BBC Radio 2 and is currently on their A play list.

First Watch: WAZU ‘Murder 1’

WAZU are from Australia and have a sound that is kinda destructive and sexy at the same time. Awesome.

First Watch: Mary J. Blige ft. Drake ‘Mr Wrong’

Im so zoomed in to new music that sometimes I lose track of amazing stuff from established people… Sick comeback from the one and only Mary J. Blige. Love this hard- that voice just gets better and better.

First Watch: Team Me ‘Show Me’

My favourite Norwegian indie band have debuted a new music video and it’s as cute as the track. So wonderfully uplifting and anthemic.

First Listen: Moses Melkonian ‘We Are Mighty, We Are Young’

I mentioned Moses Melkonian a while ago on here and now he’s back with a really interesting track. It’s a bit funky, it’s a bit edgy, it’s a bit warm and a bit sexy at the same time. I can’t really describe it, but that’s often a pretty good thing.

First Watch: La Puma ‘Hotter’

I mentioned La Puma in June 2010 and patiently waited for their camp Swedish electropop to take over the world. It hasn’t yet, but in the meantime we have this wonderful piece of video to enjoy.

First Watch: Elsie ‘The Assassin (Bang Bang)’

I featured Elsie a few months back, this is her debut video. Can’t get enough of that voice.

First Watch: DJ Fresh ft. Rita Ora ‘Hot Right Now’

Following his #1 smash hit ‘Louder’ – one of 2011’s biggest-selling singles – DJ Fresh is back with his new single ‘Hot Right Now’, featuring the vocal talents of Rita Ora.

First Watch: Riva Starr & Fatboy Slim (feat. Beardyman) ‘Get Naked’

I keep watching this video over and over. It’s the new Fatboy Slim/ Riva Starr single.

First Watch: Ghostpoet feat The D.O.T ‘Trouble’

On Wednesday 30th November Ghostpoet and The D.O.T. took to the stage at Village Underground for the third RizLab project to take-part in the world’s first live interactive music video shoot for the collaborative track ‘Trouble’.

After Ghostpoet and The D.O.T. asked fans to send in trouble making suggestions, the online audience voted for various multiple choice options in real time. The artists were faced with a Yeti in a snowstorm, bad disco dancers, a cheerleading quartet, a choreographed boy band and a homage to the Stonehenge scene from Spinal Tap. Watch it and read more here!

First Watch: Major Lazer ‘Original Don’ ft. The Partysquad

This video went live on the 8th and it’s got over 364,000 hits already. I can’t stop watching it…

First Watch: Yelle ‘Comme Un Enfant’

I haven’t talked about my French obsession for some time so I thought it would be nice to show you her new video. Still quirky and edgy and funny.

First Watch: Tanya Lacey ‘Letter To My Ex’

I remember getting a dodgy looking email introducing me to Tanya Lacey not too long ago. I was impressed and blogged about it straight away. I remember emailing back asking for more- a link to a site or at least a picture. I didn’t get anything back and I had to improvise. Now she’s got a proper video through Sony Records and like I’d said before, the throwback to the 90’s thing works very well.

First Watch: Amy Winehouse ‘Our Day Will Come’

This is the official tribute video for the new Amy Winehouse single. It’s sad and lovely at the same time, and makes you realise how much of a talent was lost. The album’s out next month.

First Watch: Duran Duran ‘Girl Panic!’

There’s been a lot of talk about this video (in the UK anyway)- not just because it’s Duran Duran but because the video features some of fashion’s biggest models- Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen and Yasmin Le Bon– faking a ‘super group’. It’s fun to watch, and the song’s good too.

First Watch: Bekele ‘Popstitute’

Almost a year ago I featured one of New York’s hottest up-and-coming starlets, Bekele. Now she’s come back with this, and as far as début videos go, this is pretty spectacular. The new Gaga? Very, very possibly. A glitter micro/cock is just genius. But what’s even better is the song’s available as a free download on the site- check out here.

First Watch: Friendly Fires ‘Hurting’

The first 30 seconds of this track are so painfully vibey and cool. This is the new video from my favourite band of recent years, Friendly Fires. Don’t leave, don’t leave, don’t leeeeeaaaave…

First Watch: Jon Ink ‘Every Little Inch’

Previously featured on here a few weeks ago, Swedish Jon Ink is back with a new video. It’s crazy catchy- this kid really needs a big record deal! He’s also acting as a guestjudge in Webjokern, the swedish eurovision song contest 2012.

First Watch: Spiro ‘Hurricane’

Début video from up and coming popster Spiro, previously featured on here a few weeks back. Find out more here.

First Listen: Wolfette ‘Trophy Girl’

Wolfette’s new single ‘Trophy Girl’ is set to be released on 5th December. It’s a piece of cheeky electropop with some kick.
