Emmit Fenn – Moving On

Truly one of the most exciting talents to emerge from the US over the last year, every song that Emmit Fenn has released to date has had me hooked.

‘Moving On’ is a song that feels almost like a journey, starting off with a sparse and melancholic tone that softly builds momentum, culminating into a beautifully euphoric conclusion.

Taken from the forthcoming debut album ‘Far From Here’ which is out soon.

New Music: Xelli Island

LA-based artist, vocalist and songwriter Lianna Vanicelli (who goes by the alias of Xelli Island) is an independent talent who creates some of the most charming bedroom dream-pop you could imagine.

This is a sound that feels emotive and honest, yet still carries a warm and playful essence which is sure to win you over the moment you press play on ‘FLUTTER’.

“This is a song about our strengths and our weaknesses, and realising what parts of yourself need to heal and evolve. I was in a super vulnerable place when writing this. The relationship I was in was falling apart and at this specific point in time, I believed it was entirely my fault so I was frustrated with myself. I wrote the lyrics one night as a way to self-soothe.”

Dirty Nice – Supreme Ultimate Woman

This British duo consistently deliver some sensational pop gems. The release of ‘Supreme Ultimate Woman’ is a playful take on the concept of completeness through partnership.

“A song for the one who keeps you balanced between the big sky and the Earth below. For the one who keeps moving through the night, fluid and warm like the wax in a lava-lamp, floating and dancing, soaking up the light.” – Charlie Pelling, Dirty Nice

New Music: joe rico

I’m quite excited to share this new American talent with you all. joe rico brings an understated approach to indie-pop that feels subdued and stripped back, yet full of personality and character. ‘Stoked’ is a steady rocker tune that reflects a day in the life of this emerging artist.

“I would say what mainly inspires me to write would be my desire to create. Whether it’s a story or something I show depth in, the writing process is usually the same. This new music is proof to myself that you can have a vision from day one and through that growth and development you can produce something great.”

SEB – Coney Island

LA-based talent SEB’s style of music-making showcases some of the finest lo-fi indie pop to emerge out of California at the moment. A true multi-disciplinarian, he’s not only a performer but also writes, produces and engineers everything himself.

“I used ‘Coney Island’ as a way to disguise some of my darkest truths. Sonically it gives off a summery nostalgic sound but that’s used to mask my lyrics where I’m exploring my mental health struggles and everything that comes with that.”

New Music: Lacuna J

A tremendously exciting new talent hailing from Manchester, Lacuna J is an independent, self-published artist and songwriter. Distinctive vocals compliment a subdued yet powerful pop sound that is both alluring and evocative.

‘Fool (for loving you)’ narrates her perspective as a spectator who is attempting to crack the rose-tinted glasses of a loved one, seemingly too blinded by love to see the danger signs ahead.

“I guess it’s a silent plea for them to figure it out on their own without my interfering but the frustration of also sitting back not wanting to be officious.”
