This is exciting to me- Mike Skinner (ex The Streets) has a new project called The D.O.T. and this is their new video featuring Danny Brown and Clare Maguire. Good.

It’s a cross between Clare Maguire and Marina & The Diamonds but better, in my view.
Clare Maguire in 5th place for BBC Sound of 2011
So Clare Maguire, first featured on ALFITUDE back in July 2010, has come in 5th place for the BBC Sound of Music 2011. I remember struggling to find decent pics of her back then to try and blog about and now she’s everywhere. Well deserved. Wonder who will come in 4th? Hmmm!
BBC Sound of 2011 list revealed
This is always an exciting bit of news every year for me. The ‘BBC Sound’ poll is often the most accurate forecaster for next year’s biggest music acts, having predicted 50 Cent, Corinne Bailey Rae, Mika and Little Boots as ones to watch in the past. New Music: Clare Maguire
I stumbled across Clare Maguire’s Myspace sometime early last year, long before I had this blog. She had just one song up, called ‘Strangest Thing’, and it blew my mind away. It seems like she’s been signed up since then, as a new version of the same track is now online and her Myspace looks amazing. Check out here.
