Alternative pop mastermind girl in red shares the Jared Hogan-directed music video for her latest single ‘I’ll Call You Mine’, taken from the critically acclaimed debut album ‘if i could make it go quiet’.
Already amassing 1.6 billion career streams to date, the Norwegian singer-songwriter is undisputedly Scandinavia’s latest big new music export.
She embarks on her biggest ever headlining US tour in March 2022, joined by special guest Holly Humberstone.
Track of the week. I didn’t ever think I would have a specific girl in red song be a favourite (since each release has been excellent to date), but I think ‘body and mind’ might be it.
“It’s that dissonance between your mind and who you are as a person… Sometimes it’s really hard to grasp that we’re actually just humans, even though we take that shit for granted every day. We walk around, eat our breakfast, eat our dinner, we’re talking to people. ‘Body And Mind’ was an outlet to express that I’ve gotten a deeper understanding of what it is to be human. Seeing what happens to your body but you don’t feel that happening to your body – it’s just a really weird thing.”

What a year it’s been… But through all the horrible peaks that everyone’s experienced, the output of music has remained as strong as ever.
With that said, this year’s long list for BBC Sound of 2021 is a solid reflection of just how much talent has emerged recently.
As usual, I’m glad to see that I managed to catch some of the artists while they were still emerging…

“A lot of people don’t know about mental health. People lack knowledge and don’t understand that your mental health isn’t necessarily who you are.
