If you thought the original by JONES was a masterpiece in soul-pop then you’ll love this take from Joe Hertz. I seldom feel that a remix can amplify a song as much as this one has… Too damn good.
It only took three-and-a-half years for London’s soul starlet to return, but I can safely say the wait was well worth it. Infectiously joyous while still maintaining that trademark coolness that JONES encapsulates so well.
“‘Giving It Up’ is a chocolate addiction confessional turned audio diary entry about a story where I found love in a very unexpected person… It also feels like the start of summer.”
A blend of hip hop and rap.
Another brilliant release from Jones. I reckon she’ll be one of the standouts for 2016.
Having sold-out her debut London show already, JONES has announced an additional London show, ICA 3rdFebruary 2016.
Even if you do it over the phone… You’ll be rewarded this evening I’m quite sure!
The lead track from Jones’ debut EP, ‘Indulge’.
A more leftfield side to Jones’ sound.
Track of the week. Great new London pop talent. Check out here.
I’m really liking this South Londoner (who was also a former champion boxer as a kid in Peckham). This music is packed with dark character and has a certain addictive charm to it. Check out here and download some his free EP.
