New Music: Rett Madison

Heartbreakingly raw and emotive, powerful and beautiful. If there’s only one song you can give time for today, make it this one. The sound evolves into something quite intense and exquisite.

“I wrote ‘Shame is a River’ following an emotional visit with my mother a few months before she died by suicide. She struggled with addiction and her mental health for most of my life and as I got older I began to understand that like my mom, I dealt with anxiety, PTSD, and depression. The song isn’t solely about my experience, but about both my mother and I’s individual experiences with shame and guilt intertwined.”

New Music: Soukri

A fresh and really exciting, new Swedish RnB talent. Click play and you’ll be served with some slick melodic tones and a smooth vocal, on a song that talks about fighting against prejudices and forbidden love.

“It has been important for me to release my first song completely independent, and self-created. Being able to stand strong on both legs and proud to finally take place as a female producer, songwriter and artist.”

New Music: ohFrank

If you are familiar with your Swedish pop you may recognise that one half of ohFrank is Robin Stjernberg, singer and songwriter extraordinaire. This sound marks a slight shift from Robin’s sound, with a playful and lighthearted take on indie pop that is perfect for the summer months ahead.

“We want to give an honest reflection of the world we live in. To inspire culture shifts, invite or force change, to make people think. Music used to stand for something and be the great observer of society – we want to try and bring that back.”

New Music: chillhum

Indie pop from LA with an interesting fusion of genres harmoniously welded together. On this track you can hear elements of electronica, hip hop and downtempo.

“One of my largest goals in music is to make art that stands on its own without being limited to a genre, and I think this release is an excellent step in that direction.”

New Music: Kaisha

A Brighton-based talent by way of Malaysia, this sound an indulgent piece of mellow and beautifully crafted neo-soul, which is easy on the ears and even easier to fall in love with.

The song itself is all about the internal demons that affect your personal identity as an artist. But that said, I found the lyrics relatable to anyone.

“This track was inspired by a time where I really struggled with my musical identity. I lacked kindness to myself which nearly made me fall out of love with music. I think everyone can relate to the idea of feeling like they’re in a race. In this day and age, it’s impossible to not compare your journey with others. The harsh reality is that there’s always going to be someone better than you, but once you accept that and focus your energy on yourself, the story becomes more about you and less about them.”

New Music: NAVA

I am so beyond excited with this Italian four-piece. Created by Nava Golchini and Francesco Fugazza while studying, Elia Pastori and Marco Fugazza joined later on to create a project that blurs the boundaries of conceptual pop.

Pulsating ethno-beats and vocal modifications create a powerful sense of emotional intensity in a way you will never have heard before.

New Music: Lo Lind

After an impressive debut from Lo Lind which went straight to the top of Hypemachine’s chart, as well as being named on Apple Music’s ‘Best Of The Week’ and ‘Breaking Pop’ lists, I totally get the hype behind this talent.

This is bubblegum pop crafted with perfect precision. A fusion of fun quirkiness, catchy melodies, and flawless vocals.

New Music: Tatum

A luxuriously intense piece of dark pop that encapsulates the harsh brutalities of love in the most beautiful way.

“‘Bloodsport’ compares love to an epic battle where both parties walk away injured and bloody. All love comes at a cost and there is always a devastating end to love whether it’s through a break-up or death, love always ends painfully.”
