So this new Swedish ball of madness known as Gnučči is back with a new song. This is very love/hate, and I’m not sure what I think but I can’t stop listening to it, so I guess I’m a fan.

Start the week with a boom
Hello, happy Monday. Isn’t it great to be back at work…? Anyway, I heard this yesterday and it cheered me up so I figure what better time than now to give this is a spin? It’s by Swedish indie-pop princess Miss Li.
New Music: Heart Machine Service
This is the sweetest, loveliest track. I’ve reached a point on this blog where I get so many emails that I seldom read what people put on their emails, and just jump to the links to hear the music. I did the same when I got the email for Heart Machine Service… And the song gripped me to a point where I just wanted to know more about where the sound came from. This is what it said:
End of last year, Sofi Bonde came home to Stockholm after many years in New York and L.A where she was signed to Atlantic Records. After hundreds of songs written and placements on all major tv shows, from Gossip girl to Entourage and hollywood movies, she still couldn’t get her release date.
A few years later it reached a limit and she came home, back to the roots.
Back in Stockholm she immediately teamed up with producer and songwriter Kim Logan (co-founder and producer of Set Fire Run/Dyno) and started the duo “Heart Machine Service”.
To avoid the pit falls of the music business, they created their own dogma and got it down to these five points:
1. do it our way and be in full control..
2. do it with heart.
3. do it well, like a machine
4. share and provide the service…
5. be Heart Machine Service
New Music: Dream Beats
Now this is the kind of stuff that makes me happy! What’s not to like with this video? This is Swedish music at it’s very campest, poppiest and finest. Check out here.
New Music: Noonie Bao
New Music: Hanna
I love these weeks on here where I have so much great Swedish stuff to share. This is Hanna- I still feel there’s some work to do with the sound but this is very promising nonetheless! Check out here.
New Music: Orion
New Music: Years Away
Beautiful new Swedish electropop. Check out here.
New Music: Stereomaniacs
So Ive heard lots of amazing things about Berlin. But a current ‘situation’ I have involves Berlin taking something I want away from me, and so I’m a bit mad at Berlin.
This video, however, is wonderful. The band are Swedish, but as the description on their YouTube says, “We let 6 year old Lana introduce our new single ‘Berlin’ to the people of, well, Berlin. This is what happened…”
That doesn’t happen in many places around the world. Check out here.
New Music: Museum of Bellas Artes
Uplifting, sweet and rich pop sounds from this Swedish trio. Check out here.
This is the woman who brought soul into Rihanna’s lyrics
This is Emilia Mitiku. You already know her, because she was responsible for this huge track a long time ago. Anyway, this is a beautiful cover of Rihanna and I can’t think of a better way to end a rainy London day than with this.
Take part in the world’s first Twitter-generated music video
So this is a bit unconventional- in every sense of the word. I recieved an email about this up and coming Swedish kid called Ralph Charlie. He has a song out called ‘Douche By Your Side’, which aside from the name is actually a pretty catchy pop track. Anyway, watch the video to see how you can take part. If you want to!
New Music: Vikunja
Watch out Yelle… Alina’s gonna get you…
This is Alina Devecerski– I’ve mentioned her before a small while ago because this track is ridiculously infectious. Anyway, now there’s a video to match it. It’s in Swedish, but that just makes it so much cooler.
This is how the Swedes celebrate a win…
New Music: ISA
This is some seriously exciting up and coming Swedish talent. There’s not much out there on this little lady yet, but ISA will release her debut single “Bomb” on June 11th. Check out here.
First Watch: Agnes ‘One Last Time’
I haven’t blogged much about Swedish pop superstar Agnes before because I felt everyone else was writing so much about her that there wasn’t any point for another person to start doing it. But when I heard her new single, One Last Time, I just HAD to feature this- it’s so beautiful and is such a departure from her old, usual style.
The track is written by Agnes, Ana Diaz and Jonas Quant. The single is produced by Jonas Quant (Hurts, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue, No Doubt). The video is directed by Amir Chamdin (The Cardigans).
First Watch: Coco Morier ‘Ambulance’
Since releasing material earlier this year Coco Morier has gone from strength to strength- and is now signed to INGRID – the artist collective with Lykke Li, Peter, Bjorn & John etc. Check out this new video for the single ‘Ambulance’.
New Music: Lissi Dancefloor Disaster
Exciting new Swedish electropop Check out here.
New Music: Nova Delai
Cute new Swedish talent from the 17 year old Nova Delai. I can’t wait to hear more from this kid. Check out here.
