I would have happily paid for this album from up-and-coming, unsigned London talent, Hayley Cassidy. That’s how impressive this piece of work is. Title track ‘Stripped’ is specially brilliant.
One of my favourite bands from 2012, Rhye have a new video which has already snapped up more than 300k hits on YouTube since the start of the month.
Still unsigned, very cute pop from London. Check out here.
I’m in a mild state of love with this new single from Ruarri Joseph. It was written after the passing of a friend and is accompanied by a video made by Light Colour Sound featuring the work of artist, Tony Plant. The single’s out March 18th.
Acoustic pop that’s very easy to listen to. Check out here.
Dark and dirty electropop. Check out here.
Happy radio-friendly indie rock. Check out here.
Sinister sounding indie with a dark vibe. Check out here.
Such an epic name but the cutest twee pop you’ll have heard for some time. Get your ukeleles out. Check out here.
Acclaimed Swedish indie newcomers The Fiery Piano are giving away their entire album for free right here. How nice.
So I’ve saved the best bit of disco I’ve heard all week up until now. Everything’s just right about this track. Check out here.
I’m loving this bit of disco from Clancy. Check out here.
Very sexy house to kick start the Friday from Bodhi.
This is not my usual style of Friday posting on here but I am such a sucker for this kind of country sound. I have no idea why, but it just feels like it’s giving me a giant, warm hug. Check out here.
A new cut from Phil Beaudreau, and one of my top tracks of the week (and month so far). I fell for this within the first two or three seconds.
A simple pop track from Seasick Mama. Her debut EP is due out February 19th.
Terrifying, sinister rap. Chilling in a good way, though. Check out here.
Probably the most unconventional track you’ll hear this week, this is from new Swedish group Black Madonna. It’s melodic, heavy and sad, but you just can’t define what it ultimately sounds like. Check out here.
