One of my favourite Swedes from 2011, Beatrice Eli is finally releasing her debut EP on March 24th. It’s pop with a dark punch, cut in a way that only the Swedes seem to do so well.

Nordpolen
I really know nothing about Nordpolen (Im not quite sure how I stumbled across this track either) but it’s so happy, I have to share it.
First Watch: Nadia Nair ‘Bon Voyage’
MOVITS!
MOVITS! are a Swedish swing/ jazz outfit that’s been around for some time, I’m feeling this new track. It’s pretty fun.
First Listen: Dida ‘No Hard Feelings’
Free Download: The Fiery Piano ‘Second Space’ (Full Album)
Acclaimed Swedish indie newcomers The Fiery Piano are giving away their entire album for free right here. How nice.
New Music: Black Madonna
Probably the most unconventional track you’ll hear this week, this is from new Swedish group Black Madonna. It’s melodic, heavy and sad, but you just can’t define what it ultimately sounds like. Check out here.
New Music: Patrik Jean
Happy-go-lucky Swedish pop with some reggae vibes thrown in. Check out here.
New Music: Sara & Alex
One of the great things about having my own blog is I get to feature whatever I like. Even when it’s sung completely in Swedish. I love this sound, and the voice is incredibly icy and beautiful. Check out here.
First Watch: Vanbot ‘Hold This Moment’
I haven’t heard much from Vanbot lately so I was pleasantly surprised to see this new video. Good to see she’s still churning out that catchy Swedish electropop.
First Watch: Ms. Henrik ‘Doing It For The Man’
The more I listen to Ms. Henrik the more compelled I become with him. This is the new video to his single, and it’s weird and awkward but seems to make sense. To me, anyway.
First Watch: VAZ ‘Let It Rest’
I can’t get enough of these two quirky Swedes. It’s the kind of pop music that keeps things interesting.
Jonathan Johansson
New Music: Ms. Henrik
This is a bit different. It’s Swedish electro but it sounds like nothing I’ve heard before. I’m not sure what it sounds like, but I really love the sound! Check out here.
Ask Embla
I had no idea that this Scandinavian duo were behind Shontelle’s ‘Impossible’. I learn something new on Scandipop every time I go on there. Anyway, their new track is brilliant.
New Music: Sportsman
Gorgeous and uplifting Swedish sound that blends a soft piano with a calm beat in a very current way. Check out here.
Free Download: The Royal Concept ‘World On Fire’
One of the biggest ‘buzz bands’ coming out of Sweden right now, The Royal Concept are giving this as a free download. It’s fun.
Give Elliphant’s EP a spin…
One of my favourite Swedish newcomers from 2012 has an EP out well deserves a listen.
New Music: Nervous Nellie
Dark Swedish indie pop. Still manages to sound cute somehow. Check out here.
New Music: Erik Segerstedt
Swedish pop from a singer who’ll be taking part in next month’s Melodifestivalen (i.e. Scandinavian stardom is close by)! Check out here.
