Dopha – Anti Breakup Song

LISS – Leave me on the floor

I’ve lost count at the number of times I have featured Danish outfit Liss on Alfitude, and I don’t think it will slow down any time soon either.

This release fuses their trademark blend of melancholy indie with funky retro vibes. Make sure you play the song the whole way through, because it’s progression is too damn good to miss.

blanks – oh no

This track from Dutch YouTube star blanks is just pure pop joy… Something we all need right now.

“Hi, I’m Simon and Blanks is my artist project, and people call me the overexcited music boy. Finding the perfect melody, lyric or sound gives me the best feeling in the world, I get so excited! And strangely enough, people seem to like that!”

The Kid LAROI – So Done

Still only 17-years old and already one of Australia’s biggest exports of late; his debut mixtape ‘F*ck Love’ debuted in the Billboard 200 Top 10 earlier this year, which is a phenomenal achievement to get from someone so young and not native to the country.

This track is the first release off a new project that is coming soon amidst a new partnership with Spotify, becoming their third U.S. RADAR Artist. Don’t be surprised if The Kid LAROI becomes a household name by 2021!

GRACEY – Don’t

I’ve yet to find a single GRACEY song that I dislike. Truly one of the UK’s most promising starlets.

Taken from the forthcoming mini-album ‘The Art Of Closure’ which will be out on 13th November via Polydor Records.

Emily Vu – Self Love

American talent Emily Vu returns with a self-assured slice of pop perfection that’s all about being true to yourself.

“‘Self Love’ is basically just about how I’m a confident person. You’ll never catch me being in my feelings over something someone said. I wrote this song because ever since I started doing music and it becoming a real thing, people who have no idea who I am always have something to say about me. They say I’ve changed and that I’m full of myself, but I honestly just love myself.”

Taken from the forthcoming EP ‘Found’ which is due in November 2020.

Josh Fudge – Summer Something

The Oklahoma kid returns with a mellow, psychedelic twist to indie-pop.

“Written about the bittersweet reality that two lovers will have to split after summer’s end, this track takes you on a journey sure to make you reminisce about losing love while swimming in its rich but simple harmony.”

Joel Malka – Hell Of A Summer

One of the most gorgeous releases to come out of Sweden this week, Joel Malka’s ‘Hell Of A Summer‘ is a delicate, emotive and captivating piece of experimental RnB-pop that looks into how this year is affecting our mental health.

“I guess most of us have had to get used to a feeling of loneliness this year, while missing birthdays and funerals and worrying about loved ones from a distance. I wrote this about appreciating whatever little moments of mental diversion I could find, like on some ‘we can stay strangers, it’s just nice to have someone to talk to for a minute’-type of vibe.”

abrahamblue – You

No matter how you’re feeling right now, I can guarantee that this song will make you so damn cheerful. I’ve been quietly obsessing over abrahamblue ever since he hit the radar not too long ago.

Born to Syrian-Palestinian parents, he immigrated and settled in to a small downtown apartment in Antwerp at the age of five.

As with any kid in the same situation, he soon experienced an identity crisis as he struggled to feel at home.

Delving into pop music and discovering artists like James Brown and Michael Jackson, he began to create his own musical journey that’s been inspired by a host of genres; from Jazz to Brazilian BossaNova to 90’s hiphop, soul and gospel.

And here is the magnificent result of all that. Enjoy!

The debut EP ‘Tracks I Wrote Last Summer’ is out now via Believe.

LOVA – Lonely Ones

I’ll let LOVA explain this song, because not only is it a beautiful cut of pop but the message will warm your heart:

“‘Lonely Ones’ is basically me reaching out with a hand to anyone who feels alone or has ever experienced it. Loneliness is something I think we all feel sometimes, and it can come in so many different shapes and forms. You don’t always have to physically be alone to feel lonely. You can feel alone in your relationships, at work or in big crowds of people – like me. Usually when I feel lonely, I think to myself that I must be the only one feeling like this – pathetic, boring, and unlovable – and that no one can relate or knows how it feels. But I guess the truth is that we all feel it, and knowing that and hearing other people talk about it makes it all feel a little less lonely. So, I hope this song can do just that for you. That it can be a friend to keep you company in moments of loneliness and remind you that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.”

Emily Brimlow – Misfits

A beautifully balanced fusion of soul, indie pop and world music make up Emily Brimlow’s sound. I’ve been a fan of this 25-year old Canadian talent for a couple of years now, so it’s great to feature this release.

This track is just a very positive song and it’s all about living her best life (in a van!) with her partner Nathan. What a dream!

“It felt like my ‘crazy’ finally met another equally ‘crazy’. When ya know ya know, and you kind of just wanna get started on living the great adventure of life together.”

Slodown – Lay TF back

The NYC-based, Singaporean singer-songwriter Slodown returns with a soulful and dreamy slice of indie and RnB; a perfect sound for your mind to escape with.

“It’s been a really rough couple of months, especially for those fighting the good fight. We wrote this song seeking a brief escape from all the world’s ills, something you can just lay back and smoke to, to get away for just a bit.”

New Music: So So Sun

So So Sun are a British-based indie-pop outfit who infuse dark undertones of electronica to create a deeply rich, atmospheric and experimental sound.

The lyricism feels raw, vulnerable and introspective, which adds a whole new layer of intensity into a sound that is just sublime to experience.

“Written and recorded in the height of lockdown, new and past relationships felt like a different reality. Introspection based on past experiences, and next to no opportunity to make new, real connections. A time where we were all unavoidably exposed to our own feelings whilst being held in almost entirely digital reality. Those that really mattered came to the surface. Sharing intimate moments with others, different perspectives of love and how past relationships linger in the present.”

Ramverk – Last Hour

With the release of their new album today, the Swedish duo are back with another flawless piece of dreamy electronic pop that feels both intense and cinematic.

“The music is a result of our collective experiences musically and lyrically. Many of the songs are about our current life situations, about putting things behind us and looking ahead.” – Alexander Maksic, Ramverk

Taken from the album ‘Resurrection’ which is out now.
