“I wanted to write about flaws in a kind and positive way. I wanted to hone in on what makes us who we are. The absence of something in a person’s life, makes room for the presence of something else. ‘Home With You’ is a song about celebrating honesty and compassion in love, even if it isn’t always easy.”

“It’s about being in a vulnerable mindset. When someone’s at their lowest and they move to drugs and alcohol to mask what they’re feeling. The song’s title is a question that I asked myself every day when I was at my lowest…”

Listen to the entire EP here – it’s sublime.

One of the brightest new Swedish exports. A dark pop sound with a unique lyrical take on something we have all experienced.
“When you become aware that you have ended up in some kind of limbo land. Maybe you got there to turn off your thoughts when everything became too much around you..? Although it can be nice for a while, you don’t want the days to just pass and lose track of yourself and your goals.”

“Reason is the first song I’ve written that details romantic love. It’s my thank you note to a very important person who was the catalyst for my decision to quit my job and become a full time musician. The chorus is a thank you to her and the verses are about how we met and how she’s helped shape the man I am today.”

A heartfelt and powerful fusion of indie pop and soul.
“Your heart is so pure, I don’t want it to turn cold like mine.”

It’s been a hot minute since I have been sent some Italian disco that I’ve enjoyed this much.

Beautifully atmospheric, euphoric and melodic. What else would you expect from a Frida Sundemo release?

“Crosswords is a song about the infatuation at the beginning of a relationship. It feels so magical and all encompassing, you’re too in love to see how bad it is. I wrote it a while back with a songwriter called Eg White, it was the first time we’d met and it came so naturally. It was co- produced by Felix Joseph, who brought everything together and helped me realise the sound I had in my head. It’s a really special song for me and I hope people can find their own story within mine.”

“The core of the song felt so honest and relatable. No matter where you are in life, I think it rings true. Phil is so good at capturing big ideas in concise ways and I wanted the musical side to mirror that.”
