London based group that make a big sound- almost cinematic but with a sense of rawness that you can only get from British indie. Check out here.

New Music: Some Velvet Morning
Good indie music from London. To me there’s a bit of blue and a bit of psychedelica in there, but maybe that’s just me. Check out here.
New Music: Little Brutes
Well this is turning out to be a week of indie pop on here isn’t it? This is Little Brutes. They’re cute, and they make… indie pop. It’s got a nice bit of melody to it though. Oh, and did I say they’re cute? Check out here.
New Music: Les Loups
This has a bit of a French disco vibe to it. Check out here.
New Music: Ducky and the Vintage
American rock and roll with a bit of blues and country. It’s the sort of thing you would expect to hear on an episode of True Blood, which is a good thing in my books. Check out here.
New Music: Choo Choo
Sad little fact about me- I used to call trains ‘choo choos’ until well into my teens. I sort of wish I kept using it still. Anyway, indie with a bit of pop from a Swiss band. Check out here.
New Music: Theo Martins
This is very exciting music. There’s so much going on with this guy- soul, hip hop, some big thick beats- and it all goes so well together. Check out here.
New Music: Monsta
I’ve only just stumbled across these guys after reading about them from a couple of blogs. They consist of two pretty well known producers, and vocalist Bryn Christopher (who I had a bit of an obsession with some years ago). Anyway, it’s undescribable music but it grips you hard. And they have good graphic design, which is becoming a bit of a rarity in today’s pop world. Check out here.
New Music: Lucy Rose
Delicate, innocent, gentle sounds from Lucy Rose. It’s nice. Check out here.
First Watch: Maverick Sabre ‘I Need’
This has to be absolutely my favourite song of the month. Previously featured on here back in March this year, this is the new single from Maverick Sabre. It’s a boy version of Adele and Amy. This is TALENT.
New Music: Trophy Wife
The power of a good pop video has made me take note of a song which I probably wouldn’t have cared much for. They describe themselves as ‘Ambitionless Office Disco /Pentatonic Pop’. Make what you will of that. Check out here.
New Music: Ronika
Right then, it’s Monday, and it’s sunny (certainly in London anyway). Let’s keep the energy up with some fresh electrofunk. I’ve actually been aware of this song for a few months (you might have heard it already too), I thought I blogged about it. If this was Twitter right now I would probably use a hashtag like #toomanyblogposts or something… Check out here.
New Music: The Society Islands
Happy, clever, romantic indie pop. Particularly enjoying this dude’s photo. Check out here.
New Music: Scarlett’s Roses
I’m so glad these guys emailed me about their music because I like it a bit. Up and coming pop from London. Check out here.
New Music: Caotico
This song is so NSFW. It’s Swedish band Caotico with Tove Styrke doing a little bit of a cameo. Check out here.
New Music: Bossy Love
This is kinda 80’s inspired pop. There’s been a lot of that going around the last few years and I’m sort of over it now but this is one of those few exceptions. It’s fun. Check out here.
New Music: Jon Ink
This is a preview from up and coming Swedish pop hunk Jon Ink. Fans of Melodifestivalen may recognise the face from this year’s contest where he went by the name of Jonas Matsson. He’s definitely going in a better direction! Check out here.
New Music: Great Mountain Fire
These guys have been together since childhood apparently, and you can sort of hear that in their music- it’s got a very child-like vibe about it but still managing to sound pretty cool and indie. Check out here.
This is how to build hype over an album…
I watched this and got chills down my spine from hearing the story told. The band’s called ‘Jack’s Mannequin’. To be honest, I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t have appreciated their music as much if I hadn’t had seen this video first. Excellent marketing!
