“‘You & Me’ signifies the start of a more R&B/Jazz influence over my new work. Musically it’s more mature, the lyrical content is more personal than ever and You & Me starts this.”

Because technically it’s the weekend (albeit in lockdown), and any time is a good excuse to enjoy techno.

“It was me being confident enough in my growth to say, “if you change your mind, keep it to yourself.” I wanted to make the video as bold as the statement. I thought of the most extreme phone call I would never want to get, and ran with that, allowing myself to be a teeny bit vengeful. Okay, maybe more than a teeny bit.”

An introspective release from Christian French, wrapped in a playful indie pop vibe.

Indie folk with a sense of fragility and melancholy, that slowly builds into something intense and epic. Quite a beautiful thing to listen to.
“For me jane can be applied to depression, or being caught in an abusive (or unhealthy) relationship, or destructive loneliness that one can’t seem to shake. To me, jane is a picture of how art and song can grow and change with the listener.”

With an already astronomical following on social media (following on from being half of the multi-platinum pop duo Jack & Jack), it won’t take long for the rest of the world to take notice of this kid. A finessed pop sound with hints of RnB and soul.

Another showstopper from Swedish pop-RnB powerhouse, Molly Hammar.
“I think everyone struggles with loneliness. Sometimes you love it, sometimes you hate it. ‘‘Alone’ is about someone trying to escape loneliness and hurting people along the way. If this song can become a wake-up call for someone to deal with their emotional life better, or if someone can find comfort in gaining some perspective in themselves I have achieved my goal with “Alone”.

A mellow mix of indie and chilled electronica from this Australian duo.
“Our new single, Bedroom Lounge Bar, is about a peculiar night out in the Gold Coast whilst on an east coast tour of Australia. Lead singer, Toby, recounts the events that unfolded when he was taken on a misguided circuit of the city’s nightlife and found himself encompassed by a foreign sphere of culture and company.”

“’Hallelujah’ is about broken illusions in a broken world. It’s that moment of realisation when you know you have to make peace with something that just can’t be fixed. I wouldn’t call myself religious, but this song came out almost like a prayer. It was a cry for help in a hopeless situation. In the end religion didn’t save me, but neither did the shrink or the pills that he gave me. This song gave me an escape and some kind of piece. Like so many times before, music was the answer.”

Sad pop complimented with a beautiful vocal.
“Behind the Scenes” is a song I wrote to create some closure after being ghosted by a former love interest/collaborator. Inspired by the discomfort I felt promoting a body of work we made together while he was hiding from me, this song enabled me to tell my story without reservations.”
Taken from upcoming full length album, ‘ZERO’.

A talent emerging from East London, citing influences from The Cure through to Britney Spears and 80’s horror movies. Balancing a sound between eclectic and nostalgic dream pop with melancholic indie.
“My aim was to create escapism and atmosphere. I wanted the sounds to take me far away and sound exactly how I felt.”

Newly signed to Motown Records, this is the perfect balance between classic and contemporary soul.

“I lived with my father for a while and although we love each other very much, I often found myself in conflict with him. Sometimes the only way I could defend myself was to shut down and become vacant, which made me feel like a hologram. There was something empowering about that feeling.”

“I’m always looking for answers and there’s one thing I’ve learned: You shouldn’t demand things from life too stubbornly. Everything happens when it’s supposed to happen. The universe follows its own rules. The more desperate you wait or hope for something, the longer it might take. You have to be patient. Music has always helped me to better understand my emotions.”

Born and raised in the landscapes of Orkney Scotland, singer/ songwriter Euan Allison shares his debut today. Something quite sublime in a charming and warm, playful way.

We might be on lockdown, but that’s no excuse not to enjoy some premium disco.
“We went back and forth online with DiRTY RADiO. Since we had never met in real life, it created an interesting dynamic. You send some feedback to the other guy, and when they send you an email back with the music it’s like opening a little present”.
Jafunk

Infectious and wildly refreshing synth pop from this Australian talent. The track is taken from Jordan F’s upcoming album, due out later this year.

Norwegian indie funk with a sense of playfulness.
“The song is about my transition from being a vulnerable teenager to becoming a young adult, where pretty cool things started to happen in my life. It’s the soundtrack of my life’s turning point.”
