First Watch: Joan as Police Woman ‘Chemmie’

Sexy, sultry sounds from Joan as Police Woman’s new single, Chemmie (out August 1st) – I must admit I didn’t know who she was before watching this video but I kinda like her!

First Watch: Emeli Sandé ‘Heaven’

This video is like Unfinished Sympathy 2011 but it works so good! Can’t wait to see and hear more from this girl. Such an awesome talent.

First Watch: Black Cherry ‘One Another’

I’ll be very surprised if this track doesn’t become an internet hit. Hackney bred duo Black Cherry release their double A-side single ‘One Another’ and ‘Lost In The System’ on 29th August. A very catchy dance fusion of rock and electro.

First Watch: Penguin Prison ‘Fair Warning’

Booming, shimmering synths from the fantastic new Penguin Prison single. Mixed by Chris Glover (Penguin Prison) and Dan Grech-Marguerat (Radiohead, Scissor Sisters). A download bundle of selected remixes will be released on August 22, two weeks before the album finally drops. First Watch: Erik Hassle ‘Stay Away’

Weirdly I mentioned Erik last week, and today he’s put up his latest video up. Featuring lots of little Erik doing Swedish things that ginger kids do.

First Watch: The Reason 4 ‘Take It All’

You’ll recognise The Reason 4 from the 2010 series of The X Factor. They didn’t win, but it put them on the map and has helped realise a 10-year ambition for the Southampton four –piece. Now signed to Sony, this is their debut single, out August 7th. The average age for this band is 29, which is a bit rare for new boybands, but I like that. Grown up pop. Check out here.

First Watch: Lady Gaga ‘Edge of Glory’

By far, one of her simplest videos but I rather like it for that. It’s probably for the best after the whole disappointment with the Judas video. This song makes me want to punch the air in a ‘yeah!’ kinda way.

First Watch: Friendly Fires ‘Hawaiian Air’

Definitely one of my favourite songs of 2011, this is the video for Friendly Fires’ ‘Hawaiian Air’. Album Pala is out now.

First Watch: Brookes Brothers ‘In Your Eyes’

Brookes Brothers self-titled debut album is out now digitally (click to buy from iTunes) and released on CD on Monday. Check out the brand new video for the radio hit single ‘In Your Eyes (feat. Johnny Osbourne)’.

First Watch: Alex Clare ‘Treading Water’

Aside from the sick beat and amazing video, I’m seriously envious of Alex Clare’s beard. Album’s finally out 11th July.

First Watch: Mr Fogg ‘Moving Parts’

I mentioned Mr Fogg on here ages ago for an amazing little videohe made in the middle of London. Last year he released his debut album, also entitled ‘Moving Parts’, and is currently working on new material with Icelandic producer Valgeir Sigurdsson (Bjork and Feist), this video marks a stepping stone between his debut and new music set for release later this year.

The video was directed by American History X director, Tony Kaye and was shot at various locations around Los Angeles, including Walt Disney Concert Hall, and consists entirely of several thousand stop-animated still photographs.

First Watch: Robyn ‘Call Your Girlfriend’

I love Robyn (as you might have guessed if you’re a regular on here). Video’s great, even though I wasn’t a huge fan of the song when I first heard it but watching this makes me change my mind. Gonna dance like her next time I’m rockin’ the discotheque.

First Watch: Liam Bailey ‘It’s Not The Same’

You may know that I’m a bit of a fan of this guy. Now signed to Amy Winehouse’s label, Liam Bailey’s back with a new single and video. Love.

First Watch: Two Wounded Birds ‘The Midnight Wave’

Previously featured on here a while back, this is the new video from Two Wounded Birds. Short and sweet.

Lady Gaga’s ‘Judas’ video leaks… Watch it here!

It was meant to be controversial and edgy but I think it’s a bit boring and a little on the dull side compared to some of her other videos. It’s a huge production but still isn’t very epic…

First Watch: Frankmusik ‘Do It In The AM’

Fresh off the press… here’s Frankmusik’s video for new single ‘Do It In The AM’ (featuring Far East Movement)!

First Watch: Club Smith ‘No Friend of Mine’

I featured these guys a while back… Here’s the official music vid for ‘No Friend of Mine’. Single’s out June 6th in the UK. It sounds amazing on big speakers.

First Watch: Metronomy ‘The Look’

Check out the new video for ‘The Look’, the next single from Metronomy released in the UK on April 18th.

First Watch: Lady GaGa ‘Born This Way’

This is the manifesto of Mother Monster… It reminds me of Barbarella and Matthew Barney‘s Cremaster Cycle at the start. Oh yeah, and this epic scene from ‘Boomerang’ with Grace Jones:
