Danish Music - New Music

When a Danish teen heart throb covers Drake…

I really should act a bit more grown up but I can’t help it… This is so good!

First Listen: Oh Land ‘Pyromaniac’

Sure to bring a smile to your lovely faces is this new track from Oh Land.

First Listen: Fallulah ‘Dragon’

Danish pop princess Fallulah comes back with an infectiously loud slice of Danish pop.

New Music: Lars And The Hands Of Light

I fell in love with this within seconds. It’s so nostalgic and lovely. Check out here.

MØ and Diplo

A great collab by Diplo and MØ. I couldn’t have imagined this to sound any better than it does.

New Music: Lucy Love

Danish house and grime. It’s about time I went back to Copenhagen, miss that town. Check out here.

New Music: Penny Police

Track of the week. Cute Danish pop, and you’ll be hard done to find a voice this sweet any time soon. The more I play this the more I fall in love with it. Check out here.

I haven’t featured any Danish-sung music for a while, so it’s nice to put this up. It’s pure radio sugar (although there’s maybe too many styles of pop mixed into this), and if you can’t speak Danish then you won’t get far with the lyrics but it’s still a pretty fun track. Check out here.

First Listen: Greta Svabo Bech ‘Shut Up & Sing’

Greta Svabo Bech seems to have come out of no where. This new track is pretty special and ticks all the Scandinavian pop boxes.

New Music: Tusindfald

Danish dreampop that climaxes with a big high. Check out here.

New Music: Greta Svabo Bech

This is very exciting! A voice that has already been featured on Deadmau5 track ‘Raise Your Weapon’, this is definitely a talent for the future. Check out here.

New Music: Boho Dancer

Danish indie folk. Check out here.

New Music: Brændt Barn

The video to this track is one of the reasons why I enjoy Denmark so much. That aside, this is a solid bit of electropop with all the trademark Scandinavian sounds. Check out here.

First Listen: Odd Collection ‘Bullet Hole’

Odd Collection have a new epic bit of electro for you.

New Music: Umatic

I love this. It’s as simple and quirky and cute as twee pop goes. Check out here.

Thomas Holm is back!

One of my favourite Danes, Thomas Holm, is back with a new single. I’ve been told it’s about changes, but my Danish is awful. The chorus is cool.

New Music: Odd Collection

Track of the week. Epic Danish pop mixing electro and synth. Check out here.

Yuksek feat. Oh Land – Last of Our Kinds

How camp is this collaboration between Yuksek and Oh Land?! Am I the only one feeling a James Bond vibe around it?

Eurovision Final is on tonight!

I’ll be in Malmö Arena tonight to watch this camp ball of fun that is Eurovision 2013. Truth be told, this year’s entries have all been a bit lukewarm bar Norway and Denmark (above), but you know- anything can happen tonight.

The show kicks off 21:00 Sweden time, and if it’s not showing in your country then you can watch it online over on Eurovision’s official website!

I might tweet a bit, so follow me on my Twitter if you’re up for it.
